One Song for the Rest of Your Life

Fuck, I just heard this song. I want that Dream Theater devocalizer and I want it NOW! Get to work, tech nerds!

Lol … agree … you know there are instrumentals for that song right?

Not the same sound quality.

Got it … what do you think of LTE3? Very fine output right there man … dig Rhapsody in Blue man, very good job on that

There’s no way I’ll feel the same about this for the rest of my life but given that I’m making the decision today:

The lead singer seems pretty unfazed in losing Chris Adler (who I think was their strongest member, and a big part of their sound). He was saying he didn’t like how perfectly timed the drumming was with Chris. I was like wat, lol? I guess he wants more of that garage band sound.

Chris is so damn good. If I was LoG, I would have done nearly anything to keep him.

Gojira is so good! The drumming is next level. They also do so many different sounds. They don’t really have songs that sound alike IMO.

Really like the into for this live version of ā€œtoxic garbage islandā€

If I’m gonna listen to one song for the rest of my life it might as well be several songs put together, right?

There are so many songs from that album I could pull for this … great choice

Honestly, I think the three-album run from Brave New World to A Matter of Life and Death stands up to any three consecutive albums from any other band around. Could almost say the same about the first three with Bruce, but there’s Quest for Fire, which is just obnoxious.

Agree, but they’re a different band post reunion than pre-reunion with the addition of Gers (who is great imo). I will say they had a string of 4 great albums from NOTB to SSOASS … almost had the same post-reunion but Final Frontier is a little weak BUT Book of Souls is damn fantastic.

Shit I forgot about Final Frontier - not an epic like the albums surrounding it but still good. Struggled to get into BoS, but can absolutely appreciate what it represents to the band. Bruce seemed to struggle to hit his key and as a vocalist my throat hurt for him.

That was one of the first things I noticed when I first listened to it … tbf he did have throat cancer while recording (not sure how much they affected his vocals)

I have a soft spot for No Prayer, so for me Seventh Son → Fear of the Dark would be my choice. Dance of Death is my least favourite reunion album, maybe just a reflection of where I was when I first heard it.

Australia became an anti-intellectual and emasculating indoctrination camp with mandatory education for indoctrinating children, gun control laws to keep Australians from defending themselves from tyrants, censorship to prevent enslaved Australians from thinking outside the box, Orwellian online surveillance to prevent Australians from being able to secretly use the online world to create organisations to fight against Australia’s indoctrination system, virtue signalling bans on violent video games whilst the cut-throat Australian business people work with Chinese terrorists who control the Apple company that are known for taking away human rights and intellectual freedom in China, and other crap. Australia has become a buzzkill for intellectuals who are smarter than average Australians who have been emasculated and indoctrinated to think and behave in a specific way to benefit the Australian politicians. Because highly intelligent people are not easily manipulated consumers nor easily obedient workers. Also, the Australian elites have made it ridiculously expensive for the low class and middle Australians to easily own land, homes, their own businesses, food, water, and other resources.
