The T-cyp package insert states:
“For replacement in the hypogonadal male, 50-400mg should be administered every two to four weeks.”
That is where the problem starts. That is a very old dosing guide that (1) predates acceptance of self injections [thus avoiding having the patient present at the office too often], (2) package inserts are FDA approved, there is no motivation to start this all over again with the FDA. This package insert is used for many brands of Test cyp.
Tell your doc that HRT is not a huge spike of T, followed by weeks of decline with very very low levels. The spike of T will cause a spike in E2, the increase in E2 will carry over past the decline of testosterone and create an adverse T:E2 ratio.
The increased E2 will cause the liver to produce more SHBG. The increased SHBG will reduce the t-free percentage. At the end of 2,3 o4 four weeks, FT can be lower than before the start of TRT and combined with E2 side effects, guys can end up feeling worse than before starting TRT.
HRT needs to recreate the hormone levels of youth. That should be true every day. Huge spike of T followed by crashed T levels is simply not going to produce very good results.
This is now so obvious, I don’t know if there are going to be research findings to support this.
Women to not get a single dose of HRT per month.
Young and normal males do not have mostly steady hormone levels.
Make your own argument for this. If he will not listen to things like this that you state, you will never get where you need to be with this doc. Such as T+AI+hCG.
While this speaks to some issues:

It does not recommend weekly or any other dosing, but weekly dosing was used in this study.
Note that the serum levels were tested after one week. Good practice is to check these levels 1/2 between injections to get something closer to an average level.
Also point out that all transdermals attempt to create the same T levels every day.
Tell the doctor that you want to self inject to take the issue of convenience vs office visits off the table and that you want to inject once or twice a week to maintain a more natural HRT.
He will listen, or ignore you, perhaps letting his ego get in the way. Know that you may need to find another doctor.
