For those of you who did not start your TRT on Arimidex or an AI, how did your ability to lose fat change once you lowered your estrogen? Was it dramatic? What about your energy and stamina in the weight room? Day to day stamina/way you felt?
Okay, I’ll speak up. It didn’t help that much.
There’s nothing like having natural good health. If you don’t have it, find out why. Chemical substitutes suck.
High E2, if very high, will negate the positive affects of test. I saw a big difference in strength when I got my E2 down from the high of 110 it got to. I had noticed that same difference in a few days after starting the program but when it went away I knew something was wrong.
If E2 isnt too high then you won’t likely feel a difference.

I find out tomorrow or monday my E2 after 2 years of t only at 200mg/week. Im actually hoping its 100 plus. It will prove i was right to all the drs who blew me off.
I know this is an old thread, but what were your symptoms? What were the docs telling you? I did almost a year on test cyp 200mg a week, and right about the 3 month mark I crashed hard! Not 1 doc checked my E2 levels, and I continued to take the test each week. I went months without knowing that the T was just driving my E2 through the roof. I’m still working on getting things dialed in.
They were telling me it isnt necessary to test for E2…which was bs. They tested my saliva instead of blood which was basically worthless. I finally got a blood test months later but at 100mg/week when i felt crappy. It was 36 at that dosage. Im now on 5.mg anastrazole ed for 140mg e5d
How are you feeling now? I also did a saliva hormone test for my new doc, but I’m going to see him on Monday so I will ask him to do a blood test for my e2. I have not felt good in months! I have had low libido, depression, and crying spells! TRT has yet to be a great experience for me. I had some decent gains in the gym last year right after starting, but they were short lived!
I really wish I had found TNation before starting trt. I am amazed at all the mistakes my doctors made when starting me on trt. They never checked E2 for a baseline, so I don’t know if it was high to start with or not.
I have a feelin high E2 and hypothyroidism were my orginal underlying issues for my initial 252 TT result. The problem right now with DRs is the inconsistency across the board in regards to TRT. The saliva bs needs to die except for cortisol testing. The trifecta of T/AI/HCG needs to be the base treatment in EVERY TRT case unless the patient or labs show it isnt necessary. It really gets old having to educate medical professionals on how to properly do their job while they profess to know everything they need to know just because they went through medical school. Cant tell you how many dr’s ive walked out of the office mid conversation on. Once they give you the conpany line, just walk out laughing and say you’re finding a dr that knows how to treat hypogonadism
I agree, I already did this to one of the GP’s I went too. I went in with my last 2 blood results for TT being 120 and 240, but he insisted he do his own testing. I just needed a referral to an endocrinologist. It can back at 340, where the range is 320-1100. He said it was fine and it was all in my head, saying that you have there problems because you are worrying about your lack of libido.
I said to him I am 19, if I wasn’t worried then that’d be more of a problem. At that point I just said he was full of shit and I left. Absolutely pathetic. These doctor’s are obviously people who do not take their job or themselves seriously enough, too lazy to do their job properly.
