Old Pic Of Myself

yes, it is…Glasgow. 1995.
I just went back again this summer. My mom’s from Glasgow.

I grew up (well ages 4 to 9) in Margate. But I’m from Canada originally. It’s a long story. Boring, but long.

Nards, I see your High Jeans and raise you A FRO & A Butterfly Collar

Aw c’mon…you look like a young Dwayne Johnson. That’s nothing to be ashamed of!

And why not go waaaaay back? That’s the year the picture was taken on my shirt.

Here’s the Iron Dwarf as a child… mimicking a heroic/classic pose.

lol

Nice!

I miss kids clothes. They always look so comfortable. And about 50 different colors at the same time.

hahahahahaha Classic, We look like the line up to Welcome Back Kotter.

Heh heh yeah.

Dyn-o-mite! Oh wait. I’m getting my 70s shit mixed up.

I hated the shit my mom made me wear. She’s German and had no clue what kids were wearing then. My brothers and I would go to school wearing polyester double-knit slacks and hand-crocheted sweater vests when everyone else wore jeans and regular shirts. We put up with it until we hit 6th grade!

I’m 47 by the way… so the 60’s counterculture were dictating what the coming 70’s fashions were to be. So as badly as I wanted to be hip, I just failed miserably. Thanks mom.

lol

I had a turquoise sweater and maroon corduroys that my mom made me wear.

I remember I had green socks in grade 7 or 8 one day. I didn’t live it down till last week.

LOL!

In my junior high school, the “thing” was, if you wore green socks on Thursday, it meant you were horny. So of course all us guys did it (well, just the ones who owned green socks).

lol

^ Wow bringing back memories, I wonder where the hell the green thing on Thursday started? We had no internet back then, and we had the same shit in Texas ID. How does that even happen, and Nards I rocked the mullet also. Wife hates it but cant change the past.

LOL! That’s odd, DJ! I assumed it was a state thing (I lived in PA at the time), or at most a regional thing. But it went all the way to Texas? Damn!

And speaking of mullets, I always say when I decide to cut all my hair off, the day before I do it I’m cutting it into a mullet just for one day!

lol

Yeah, my mom used to sew a ton of my clothes. I liked it, until I had a substitute teacher come up to me one day and say, “Aww, did your mommy make that for you?” I was in 9th grade.

Attached is a dress she made for me. She made my brother a shirt out of the same material.

PMPM you look kind of like Darla from the “Little Rascals”.

I thought this exact thing as soon as I saw your picture. The likeness is uncanny, to say the least.

Yeah PMPM that is just the sweetest picture!
