Oil

I am making some fina, well I have done this a few timesd before. I just orded a kit from a websight. Well super boy me I dropped the USP oil that it cam with. I am just wondering where i can order some new oil and what type i should use. I understand that they use sesame oil. But I do not want to order some that contain additives that will cause harm to my self. I would be very greatful over any help that you might be able to give me, thank you.

If you really wanted to you could use Crisco from the supermarket. Just filter it with your whatman filter, (a .2 micron is the safest but a friend of mine has always used a .45 and never had a problem) this along with the added BA would be enough to sterilize it. P-22

Went to the store and bought a small bottle of Wesson oil and used it. No problems whatsoever.

If you go this route, ONLY use oil from a new, unopened bottle. Don’t use the oil that’s in your Mom’s cupboard.

These men do not lie. You can use Wesson oil. I have and I do use Wesson or Mazola (depends on what is on sale that day) I keep it seperate from my other oil so it does not get confused by my family. Bake it in the oven at 212 degrees. I will tell you that you should use a .22um filter to sterilize your oil and any other product you are using however use of a .45um filter should be fine IF you are using raw powders etc. Most people have converted fina using only a .45um and many are still alive and have never gotten infection. How do you know that the oil in your kit is not Wesson to begin with? One only assumes it is what it is because they are being told that by the re-saler. Things that make you go HMMMM?

Ru is exactly right! They’ll sell you oil at 30 cents a mL - or more! Its how they make their money!
