The net profit margin of S&P 500 companies, which include energy giants such as Chevronand Exxon Mobil, in the first quarter has been running at 12.3% based on estimates and earnings reported so far, according to FactSet. That’s down from a peak of 13.1% in the second quarter of last year, but above the pre-COVID-19 level of about 11%.
So yeah, maybe record profits for some groups, but the majority of s&p 500 down vs same period last year. One set of companies does not define the whole economy.
Believe it or not I actually don’t care that these companies are making profits. I wish I was a share holder in most of these right now. Gas in my area has come back down about $.40
Life is suffering. Those hurting a bit at the pump these days have it relatively easy compared to many.
Immoral people will do what immoral people have always done.
How bout those who profit off the horrible labor conditions being used to make the computer chip in whatever you’re using to post on here? Technically, you have contributed to their suffering by purchasing that product.

We can take high gas prices on the chin or bitch about it or bike to work but not much will change at the level your “immoral operators” play on.
I’m fairly certain this person has made gimmick accounts over the years time and time again. Like ten years or so back. Always making the same arguments and then once everyone says oh another thread by (insert fake account here) enough times they leave and come back under a new name.
I could be wrong and I haven’t been on PWI in a while, but this seems to be exactly the same as a person who used to do this. Then again I also tend to give the advice of probably don’t take everything people say they do on T-nation as fact. If I’ve learned anything in this site over the years we’ve uncovered a LOT of frauds. But I could be wrong on him.
Either way I have to go to bed I’m training early. I am an IFBB pro after all.
