Why the fuck release the reserves? Phony influence on the market pricing.
Their called strategic reserves for a reason. Selling off those reserves to manipulate prices is like dipping into your 401K to pay for a vacation.

They think its ok to release 50 million barrels of oil to reduce prices, but then say tapping the (conservatively) estimated 10 billion + barrels available in ANWAR won’t affect prices.
Oh and prices have dropped from a high of $147 to $122 and change. ~$25 drop. Another $42 and lixy had better get his undies ready.
