Who did Socrates debate?
The fact that you feel the need to ask indicates that he has not debated anyone of note. If he had ever debated you, I’m 51% sure you would know it.
If I followed the herd, I’d be broke like you spouting the evils of a system I can’t seem to figure out.
In a debate he would be challenged on his theories. In a book he is not.
Because, I think we can do better doesn’t mean I’m calling for a utopia.
So economics is the same thing as money?
Everyone he ran into. He always asked questions that embarrassed those in power and was persecuted and eventually killed for his insubordinance.
You do follow the herd in some ways. Like economics for instance. Just blindly following the orthodoxy.
I think you need to have a decent grasp on some rudimentary tenets of economics to succeed in business or have somebody in business with you that does.
They are two different beasts. Business and economics They overlap but are not the same. Like the Fed. having the ability too create currency when no one else legally does puts them in a completely different category. But you think they operate the same as a business.
Lmao I never said the Fed operates like a business.
I agree with parts of what you say, but not all of it.
Economics and business are interrelated.
Yes, but not the same.
So how is it different and what are the ramifications of this fundamental difference?
Doesn’t sound like a prominent historical figure I’m aware of.
Who did Lenin debate?
Let’s suppose @Bauber completely adopted your economic philosophy and keeps his business savvy. How would he alter his business practices if he wanted his business to be successful?
And how is this relevant?
It’s not a philosophy. It is a description of how monetary operations actually work.
Okay. Same question
My point is that if @Bauber believed MMT just as you do, he would operate his business exactly like his is currently running it. He thinks and functions like a capitalist, and you think and function like a socialist.
He is successful in business and you are a victim of the system.
He is a self made man and you are a social security number.
