Weight today 232. Down from 240 a little while back. I had started neglecting my diet and eating crap again. I blame it on all of the Halloween candy that is generated by 4 kids. I am going to start the 5/2 diet the week following Thanksgiving (I was a little fired up when I made my last post about starting it the next day). I would like to get back down to 200-210.
Squat can be so deceptive. I didn’t know until a couple years ago that my squat was sky high and had to relearn all over. Sounds like you’re pretty strong, it’ll come back.

And good luck on trimming up.[/quote]
You are correct. I train alone so there is no one to tell me how deep I am going. It felt parallel to me, but the video shows otherwise. I am going back to ATG so there is no question as to depth.
Nice incline work and a little dedicated ATG squat work will have you right back where you want to be. If you want to be an explorer try doing some 3 second pauses at the bottom of your last rep in a set, the payoff will be nice.

Thanks. I did squat tonight, ATG just working on form 10 sets of 3 with 225. Then I did 5 sets of paused singles with the same weight. I am hesitant to pause with too much weight because I am working off of a stand in my basement. I hope to get myself a cage soon. Thanks for the advice. It appears that you sir know how to squat.
I switched from back to front. Behind the head was hurting my elbows and shoulders. I found that I can’t lift as much in front as I can behind the head. Strange. Thought it would be the other way around.
OH Tricep ext
2x10 with 85 and one max rep set of 21
I managed to make it through Thanksgiving without eating like a jackass. I loaded up on turkey and veggies and avoided the triglyceride casseroles and lard ass pies. I must have drank 2 gallons of water today as well. I did pretty good.
In a little bit of a rush today. Only had about 20 minutes to lift and in street clothes at that. But it’s better than sitting on the couch for 20 minutes.
I felt pretty good last night. I don’t know if it was the Tamiflu, all the Red Bull or the cabin fever from sitting around on my ass all week, or a combination of all of that, but I decided I could lift so I did some SGHP. I felt great while I was doing it. I was greatly surprised that I was able to meet last weeks training max on my ramp and to even get more reps on clusters than last week. I even felt great for an hour or so afterwards.
Since then it has all went down hill. I feel like crap. I have never been this sore. My traps, shoulders and biceps are almost immobile and they are hot as if I have a fever, even though I am not currently running a temp. I think I am going to stay on the couch for the rest of the weekend with some ice packs.

245 just missed getting it high enough on 1st try. Didn’t come close at all on 2nd try.

Max reps in 3 minutes with 185
26 reps
And by the way, War Damn Eagle. My Auburn Tigers have made this football season a special one indeed. They have went from 3-9 with an 0-8 conference record in 2012 to 11-1 and playing for the SEC championship on Saturday vs. Missouri. I was at the Bama game last week and I have never, ever seen anything like that in my life.
Still working on depth.
I did sets of 3 w 225 using a 5 gal bucket as a “box”. Rested no longer than 20-30 seconds between sets. Ass to bucket is just below parallel for me. No idea how many sets I did but I estimate around 15.
Leg curls 3x10 w 70.
Standing calf raises w 135 for 125 total reps.
Db curls and hammer curls 3x12 each domes as giant sets using 25 lb DBS.
My home gym has expanded. I now own a set of 25 lb dumbells to go with my bench, stand, cable machine and treadmill. I also have 4 five gallon buckets that make up my SGHP / rack pull station. I may start offering a limited number of memberships after the first of the year. There is a waiting list.
