Had some pain in left shoulder so I called it quits. I am too old to get injured. I think I may have tweaked something on my last set of power snatches. I am going to rest it for a couple of days.
I want to bench 300 by the end of the year. Just to see how far off I am I did full ROM and ramped to a 1RM of 275. I believe that’s a PR for me. Then did 3x3 w 245 and 3x8 w 185. My shoulder feels fine. I think something was just cramping up the other day.
I am jacked. I believe I can add 25 pounds to bench by the end of the year. I am going to max on SGHP tomorrow or Wednesday. I also want to SGHP 300.
Max out on SGHP and got 275. I printed out and re-read CTs article on SGHP blitz yesterday. I am doing that starting next week. Hopefully I can hit my goal of 300 in a few weeks. Then I will turn my attention to BP for a while and try to hit 300 on that as well.

I cut off the doubles a little earlier (maybe too early?) and moved up less on the singles each time. Felt better as I got near the end. I swear my traps are already noticeably larger. Maybe my imagination.

Terminated the lifting for the day. Pulled something in my left forearm when I pulled the 285. It started hurting a little when I came down with 255 on the second rep, hurt about the same on the way up with 275 and then hurt like burning hell on the way up with 285. Not going to lift today. Will see how it feels tomorrow and go from there. I am so close to 300 I can taste it, but it aint worth getting hurt over. Not like I am entering any professional high pull contests any time soon.
Took a few days off after tweaking a forearm and come back in and hit a PR. Boom!

Forearm feels great. No pain at all. Looks like I am back in action.
Also…my sons are now mercenary baseball players. They played on two different travel ball teams this weekend. One complete game (6 innings) one hit shutout and one 4 inning stint that only allowed 3 earned runs. Batting wasn’t too good but they will pick it back up pretty quick. Fist time to see live pitching in 6-8 weeks.

Wow. I didn’t see this coming today. I didn’t get much sleep last night. Didn’t eat good today. Had a headache most of the day. Then I hit the weights and increased my 2RM by 20 pounds and my 1RM by 10 pounds. This specialization program is awesome. CT is a genius.
