When are people actually gonna drop the calories and go into cutting mode?

How many are starting straight away and how many are gonna take an extra few months to add some more size before dropping?

I’m putting on some good muscle currently and I’m reluctant to give that up in a couple of weeks, not sure how many weeks out i would be in my current position.

Bitches. All of you - bitches.

End of February I think I’ll start a gentle cut, then bam it up a notch in march, and really getting buckwild with it come april until june.

I dont think I need the full 5 months of aggressive dieting/cardio to shred up, although I have let things slip a little bit in the last few months in a last ditch effort to gain a tad bit of size leading up to this.

January for me is just going to be “phase 0.5” where I just stop eating all the little extra’s I’ve let slip into my diet over the last 6 months or so… extra Peanut Butter/nuts, Christmas cookies, etc… The stuff we all know we shouldnt be eating basically. This alone should be good for 2-3 pounds that month.

Then in February I’ll actually start dieting officially (meaning following a set menu), then March I will start with the cardio and cutting calories. That will give me 16 weeks of dieting, with 12 weeks being very focused.

This should be good for 20 pounds total loss, landing me in the low 170’s which will be pretty lean for me. I may get a hair up my ass to really take it to the next level at the end though so watch out…

@Yogi1 @Lonnie123

Pretty similar to what I had in mind, I was thinking maybe 10 weeks of slow loss. I have never had much fat and it’s a struggle to just make the scale move upwards. Currently on around 400-500g of carbs and the weight drops off me if I’m not force feeding myself.

my fat ass already started

Me too, for various reasons already mentioned. No chance of me winning anyway, but I’ll play!

Without going into the whole body type and genetics stuff, there really is a big difference as to how our body’s handle calories and specific macros. I literally have to force feed myself to get the scale to move, when it’s extra clean it’s even harder to hit the numbers.

I think my body hates having this extra weight and trys to revert back to skinny me when ever I let slip, I can drop so much muscle mass if I’m not careful, I had surgery last year and could not train for a month and was off my food, I lost around 18lb.

Thats crazy. I was thinking of having the “official” pictures be a front relaxed (totally relaxed as in your first pic), then a front flexed, then a rear lat spread. The point of the first one is to show improvement in your worst pose because as you have proved the flexing really does wonders.

Pics from before/after should also be in similar conditions. I dont frown upon getting professional shots done, but you shouldn’t go from a 320x240 image in your bathroom to super high quality shots at a photo studio.
