@oldbeancam it’s not like I haven’t lost strength, especially on press and ben

Well yeah man, that’s expected though. You dropped like 40 pounds. Still, you’ve maintained a lot and should be proud.

Quite  thank you @oldbeancam I am pleased with the results. I never thought I’d look anything like this. It’s very satisfying. Me being me, though, I’m now looking at how to improve and REALLY looking forward to spending some years getting bigger and stronger while still staying this lean.

@TrevorLPT amazing, you are a completely different shape!

@MarkKO good stuff, how many inches off the waist?

Great work happening up in here .

@kd13 a few inches is all I know. I haven’t checked, but I know I had to get a size down for work pants and even the new ones aren’t tight while my 10 mm and 13 mm belts I’ve had to go two holes tighter on from when I started.

Thanks man. I’m just happy I had SOME muscle sitting under that coat of blubber I had accumulated.

I hope it is not too late to achive that kind of bodies>

Okay, I’m pretty sure im holding water at the minute, weird stuff is happening to my physique. I’m up 3lb, arms, shoulders, chest and legs all looking leaner and more vascular. I would say even oblique are sharper, but abs have smoothed over. So I’m up 3lbs in a week, diet is unchanged and I’ve upped the conditioning work. The only thing I can think is creatine which I started taking a few weeks ago. Thoughts?

What are your salt and sugar intake like? Also, do you drink a lot of carbonated beverages and such?

Damn, these are pretty impressive.

No alcohol or carbonated drinks, all I have is water, green tea and coffee. Boring I know!

Sugar intake is very low, some naturally occurring from fruit but that’s all.

Salt is low too, I don’t add salt to any cooking or salt my meals.

Diet stays pretty consistent, I was just thinking the other day that the cuts between my abs were getting deeper, and then bam. Soft.

Uh oh… somebody learn how to squat. (without back pain)
My weight hasn’t been going down a whole lot, but my lower leg vascularity has really started getting noticeable.

@kd13 sounds like water retention to me. How are you feeling health wise? I know I get softer when I feel run down.

I don’t think it’s worth giving too much thought to it, honestly. You’re making such awesome progress, I wouldn’t want to overthink anything.

Agreed, there is a natural ebb-and-flow to some things and you might just be in a weird week or something. There is still plenty of time left so dont worry about it.

I got some virus this week that is keeping me out of the gym and not eating much (living off Mag-10 the last 2 days) so this week has kind of sucked for me too. Trying not to do something stupid and set myself back another week but us meat heads arent the smartest bunch some times.

Be careful with that, lifters need sodium, lots of it, no reason to be salt-phobic, it can’t do any damage. As long as water intake is high, as it should be, your body will auto regulate and pee out any excess. I get quite a large amount everyday and it’s only helped performance, mood, and keeps my muscles dense and hard even though they’re depleted of glycogen. Give this a read when ya can.
