In case you missed it, check out the new T-Nation Member Map!
I suppose if we have to change our location, all we have to is input the new info and it will delete our old place and update to the new one?
This is too cool! How does one go about opting in? I’ve looked at my account settings and wasn’t able to find any settings.
Thanks!

When you click on the link at the top of the page it takes you to the map, at the bottom of the map there is a text box where you put your loaction in and then just click the “Add Me” button; make sure you are signed in at the time.
BTW this T-Nation Map is a great idea, I just moved up to the Cleveland area for school and have been wanting to see if there are any fellow T-Nationers up here.
CHUNK
Uhmmmm Never mind… Good thing it wasn’t a snake
This could really help in locatating T-members close by.
It seems that the map shows only one person in a specific location. If two people specify a certain location how can one view both?

Correct. You can also remove yourself entirely if you wish.

Like in a college or military situation (or otherwise sharing a residence)?

I specified a city and only saw me on the map. There was one person on there previously and now they have disappeared.
Thanks.
I didn’t really consider this case when implementing this map… right now if there are two points with the exact same latitude and longitude, the person who puts their point up last will be on top, and will be the only point people see. I’ll have to think about this a bit, but it might be as simple as moving someone a little to the side.

Oh. Hmmm. Not sure then. May have to be more specific on the location (address or just zip maybe) to get that to work then. But we’ll look into it.
Ok, now when you save your location to the map, the system will check for duplicate locations. If it finds any, it’ll add 0.01 to your longitude, shifting you to the left until you’re no longer on top of someone else
Good work guys, thanks.
Is there a way to link this map to our profiles? I’m not sure how to get to it besides that link. An easier access might make it more user-friendly. Just a thought.

We may consider this, yes.

That would be great if you could do it like that.
Cool addition.
Just one thing; I am in Broken Hill, which is actually on the map, but when I input my location I end up in the middle of the desert in the Northern Territory.
I have my town, postcode and state listed.
Cheers,
Cain
VERY cool. Can I come to Australia and Europe to visit please???
