Are there no make-up artists or competent photographers in Scotland? Those photos are amateur at best. I could take better pictures. In fact, I volunteer!

“Hotting up” is a very common informal British phrase. There’s nothing wrong with a newspaper using it, though it probably sounds odd to you if you’ve never heard the phrase before.

I agree with the comment about the very poor photography. Most of those girls are not given a fair shake because the pictures flat out suck. Not to mention, their casual, soccer mom attire does nothing for teh sexiness. That being said, I was expecting total dogs. They really aren’t THAT bad…
