Yogurt mill is overrated. Yogurt express is one of my favorite yogurt shops. It’s all self serve so you can make some interesting combinations.
nothing is better than yogurtland, noobs. COME ON!

I have a sister in law that used to manage the one in Hillcrest. She used to hook us up with free frozen yogurt all the time. Then when she changed jobs, the workers there continued to give us free frozen yogurt just cuz they remembered us. But that was over a year and a half ago and we don’t really have any reason to go there anymore (no…it’s not because of a “lifestyle change”, asshole!) so we haven’t been back. I’m not really a big fan of the frozen yogurt. The wife and kid on the other hand…

I’ve had it before, it’s alright. I have to have something with peanut butter in it though.
At the risk of sounding like a little bitch, what the hell was with that blackout yesterday? What are we? Mexico?

Pretty much.
One guy, ONE GUY does something and brings down the entire grid over multiple counties/states/countries. Who wants to be THAT guy?
It was lame. But we had a motorhome where I live and turned on the generator. The power is back on and it’s like 20 degrees cooler today, a little too late!!

Generators and motorhomes are great. I wish I had one or the other yesterday. I had quite an adventurous evening. I got home from work and thought I’d ride my bicycle around to see what was going on around me (traffic made a bicycle the best choice). The Ralph’s nearby was closed, the closest CVS was only selling ice and water out the front door for cash only. There was a line around the block for that. Gas stations had cars lined up with their occupants wait there as if power was going to come back in a few minutes. Next I made my way around to another CVS where they were turning customers away. Next door there was an Albertsons that had a back up generator with their lights cut down to around 20% and they were going to be open till midnight. They accepted any form of payment but were out of ice. I picked up a dozen eggs and stood in a line for an hour to check out. Got back on the bicycle where I promptly ran over a thumb tack and had to walk the bicycle 5 miles home. On the way home I saw cars abandoned at gas stations with their owners nowhere to be seen. Around 10:30 my phone battery started dying so I got my inverter, jumped in the car and drove around for 30 minutes to recharge the phone battery. I drove west on the 78 and found that power was restored 2 exits east of me, turned around and drove west and about 2 exits west of me had power. I scanned facebook to find that friends about a mile north of me had lights, same to the south. By the time I got home around 11 I still had no lights so I jumped into the apartment complex pool to cool off and then went to bed. Turns out we would have to wait till 1:30 am before power was restored to our pocket of darkness. It was pretty surreal seeing everyone in a nervous mood with reports that we may not get power back before Saturday. Thankfully, we keep the basics stored back at home such as water, non-perishable foods, flashlights, batteries, samurai swords etc. and I almost religiously keep my car’s tank above half full.

Haha, that sounds like an adventure. I was watching the news in the motorhome and there was the Sushi place open in PB. The owner went out and got a generator to keep his product cool and had candles at all the tables. All the patrons looked like they were all drinking beer in there. It’s funny to see how people are so unprepared for an emergency.
my fellow SD friends!
I am going to a charity event at a restaurant in PB tomorrow. It is in support of the MOvember Foundation. Tickets cost 30$ (10$ of that goes straight to the MOvember Foundation) and includes 2 free drink tickets and access to an all you can eat buffet. And I know we can do some damage to that buffet line. Later in the night there will be a raffle (tickets cost 5$ a piece) and the prizes range from a TV to a computer to gift certificates to local restaurants. This should be tons of fun and because we are all huge strong manly men with ladies that love us, we all need to help out a charity now and again. The event goes from 5pm-7pm with the raffle at 730. If interested please private message me and I will gladly tell you the location of the event and answer any questions you may still have.
Happy lifting!
