San Diego County No Longer ‘Meth Capital of the World’

Yay, San Diego!
Haha, exciting news. Although I thought it was mainly El Cajon that was the meth capital.
gregron wrote:

just get a motorcycle and then you dont really have to worry about the traffic :)
I won’t have to worry about the traffic but I will have to worry about the idiots that treat motorcyles as second class citizens that “don’t exist” when they’re changing lanes or merging.

Traffic isn’t that big a deal for me since I currently don’t travel the areas at the times when traffic is heavy so it’s all good.

El Cajon is the used cars with salvage title capital.
–Experience with buy a car off of Craigslist.

Don’t forget it is becoming the Chaldean capital of the US too.

Taylor Guitars are also made in El Cajon, so, ease up on the Box.

I know that because the guys daughter went to my high school at Valhalla.

I moved to mammoth lakes in 2002 when it took me less time to bike from Chula Vista up to work at Adventure16 mission valley than I could drive it during rush hour … now my commute is 5 minutes. Then again we also have 8 months of winter up here this year again :frowning: Anyone know if QUINN got to move San diego Barbell to its new home in Spring Valley last Dec ???

Whaaa?

Whaaa? what part did you not understand / i can detail it for you if you would like, kidding because I do love this post. I thank you guys for keeping it going. Other than World in PB and SD barbell (if still possible) are there any other REAL gyms that one may know about down SD way…thanks you.

No, seriously. I had no idea what you were saying in this post. How does it take less time to ride a bicycle from Chula-juana to Mission Valley than going by car? I’m also not in on the whole gym scene in SD since I train at my home gym and have only gone to 2 24hr Fitness gyms in my entire commercial/or any other gym life. So I have no idea what you mean by “QUINN”, “San Diego Barbell”, or “Adventure 16” assuming that’s also gym-related. Then again, I’ve only been living in SD for 5 years so maybe that was before my time. Either way, I just didn’t quite get the post. I meant no disrespect or anything. I just honestly wanted clarification.

I go to a gym in El Cajon called Pure Fitness. It’s a pretty good gym. They have a good amount of free weights. Really heavy dumbbells and a couple of squat racks if that suits your needs. I haven’t lifted weights in awhile, but I suspect it hasn’t changed much.

to PostHoleDigger, no offence taken. Traffic going north from Chula V to mission valley during rush hour used to be so bad that I could ride up Euclid Ave in National City to Adventure 16 off mission gorge rd in about the same time as I could drive. Think about the 5/805 interchange at 5:15 pm and how bad that is…I may be moving back down though due to the non-existant job market up here. So please be kind to all those out on their bicycles and LIFT STRONG

Ah…gotcha. If the gas prices continue to rise, I’m joining the other cyclists out there for my commute.

Anyone been the San Diego County Fair yet this year?

I love going to the fair and trying whatever the crazy new food is for that year. Anyone know what it is this year?

Sorry, I only think of it as the Del Mar Fair!

The Del Mar Fair at the Del Mar Race Grounds starts June 10th to July 4th.

I thought I heard on the news that last year they even had deep fried butter!! BLECH!!!

I would like to try the artichokes and avocados though.

Hopefully this is what you were asking about.

Yeah when I think Chula Vista anymore I immediately think Eastlake, I was wondering about that bike commute too until I remembered Chula does exist west of the 805.
