Official Mustache Thread

I don’t care for facial hair on younger men. I’ve dated a lot of military so that might be why. I don’t remember which movie this pic is from Trout (Ghost Rider?) but I have to admit I found Sam Elliott over the top hot at the time and was a little surprised by it. I think it’s the macho thing…deep voice, lined face, rugged look. I’m sure no one under 40 thinks he’s hot. Wait, wut thread am I in?

I grow a full beard / stach in the winter months to keep my face warm while working outside.

My ex-wife hated it. The woman I’m seeing now loves it. The biggest problem is always that first month when you go through the stuble / coarse hair stages. You gotta be careful with their thigh’s / breasts / face / etc… Once you get past that, and it softens up your golden with most women I’ve known though.

How has this thread not yet featured the Greatest Mustache EVER???

What do the haters have to say about mustaches???

yes its a chick

My girlfiend likes a full beard on me! I shave it off every now and then for special occasions, but I have a beard a lot of the time. I usually shave it into ridiculous shapes for Movember too. T-Nation should enter a team this year:

I had mutton chops into a handlebar by the time it finished last year.

A fine mustache and a fine pale ale.

C’mon now Deb, you know that deep down you’re really a die hard mustache lover. The dark vortex of awesomeness swirling around this thread pulled you in against your modernist moral barrier which prevents you from accepting your true ideals about men and facial hair…

Search your feelings, you know it to be true-Darth Vader, 1980.

Not a 'stache hater, G.

I just prefer the stache/beard combo.

Some things just go better with another. What’s butter without bread?

lol

The pic above is me last year… trying to grow the stache to match the beard. I got sick of the Amish look.

lol

ok that makes sense. Yeah the amish look is kinda outdated but maybe it’ll make a comback. I would be a beard man myself but it grows in all patchy and white trash like. Joe Dirt style… so out of necessity I’ve become a stache man

Wow i’m really surprised how this thread blew up, well not really mustaches have a profound affect on people. My dad has rocked a mustache since he was 23 never seen the guy without it, it’s like his uniform. Personally I can only rock the stache so long, as it starts to get so awesome women and some men can’t tear their eyes away from the magnificent hair lip. So I do the stache/beard combo for the winter.

How do all of you keep your facial hair trimmed? I used to use a pair of finger nail scissors to cut it to the desired length, but I switched over to an electric beard trimmer several years ago. It’s fairly easy to maintain my goatee with it, but it’s hard to get all of my mustache with it so I end up going back to scissors to trim it.

ive got a little electric trimmer thing that I use to shorten my facial hair. When i dont have the stache I just use the trimmer with the small guard on it and buzz my whole face. I dont do the clean shaven look anymore (after getting out of the military) cause my neck gets all whacked off

Believe me, you don’t have to tell me how much it sucks to shave your neck.

Nothing goes with a crown of thorns better than a beard & stache combo.
