Are there any private labs that do blood tests for more obscure things like androgen derivatives etc.? Specifically I’m looking to get 3α-Androstanediol tested.
Does anyone know any private labs where I can have this done? I’m in the midwest USA by the way.

3b androstanediol is a dihydrotestosterone metabolite from what’s I recall. I don’t think there’s any commercial test (private or not) for this metabolite. I know a Dutch urine test can look for ratio between 5 androstanediol and 5b androstanediol (of which I believe Ian considerably less androgenic than the other, perhaps indicating a predispensity for testosterone conversion to less androgenic metabolites.
What supplement are you on as you wish to have this interesting, rather unorthodox parameter tested
Are you taking one of those Dht conversion pro hormones hoping for some backwards conversion to DHT (bit more complicated than that with all the forewords and backwards conversion, various metabolites being converted into other metabolites, individualistic enzymatic activity and such)
I haven’t taken any exotic supplements. I’ve had erectile dysfunction my whole life and I’m looking for possible hints as to what may be causing it. All the classic blood tests (testosterone, DHEA, estrogens, prolactin, thyroid, etc.) have come back normal, as have blood flow tests from the urologist.
I had gyno from the age of 16 to 17 (still have puffy nips to this day at 24) and during that period of gyno my sexual function dropped (pleasure-less orgasms, couldn’t get erection even with stimulation) lower than it had been before or after the gyno (I had sexual dysfunction prior to the gyno too). So anyways, based off that, I believe there may be some androgenic problem, although I’m above average in height, musculature, penis size, so if it is an androgenic problem it must just be limited to whatever pathways in the body that are responsible for arousal and orgasm and tit growth.
Were you on any antidepressants at 16-17?
No, I’ve never taken any of the expectant drugs that might cause this like antidepressants, steroids, finasteride, accutane, etc.
