This times a million. It’s not even that 95% go about it all wrong–at least a good portion of diets out there have at least some science backing them–it’s that 95% don’t grow the fucking balls and will power to do the hard things to be successful.
I’m glad she is as authentic as she is. I still don’t give her leeway because at this point unless I see blood and medical work-ups that convince me there is a serious problem (or I spend years around you to know your habits like my very unfortunate fat friend I mentioned earlier), there are too many people complaining while stuffing their faces or sitting watching 6 hours of tv every night for me to take any one seriously at face value.
One of my current clients, who is an MD, 50 years old and pretty damn ripped, was about 80 lbs over weight 3 years ago. His secret? “Don’t stop no matter how bad you feel”. Gee…sounds like a pretty good recipe for success in any field.
