more then likely you have low test because you are obese, you may want to focus on eating right and working out then injecting test.
And someone correct me if im wrong, but if you are over weight and inject test, it can aromatize and cause even more fat gain.[/quote]
You could take an aromatase inhibitor with the injections, or possibly on its own, to increase your free testosterone levels. This would aid in the fat loss you will need to achieve. As far as injecting, you will need to find a place with the least amount of fat so you can reach the muscle. Many obese males have legs much leaner comparatively to the rest of their body. If you can find a spot on your legs where you can flatten the fat to at least an inch you can insert a 1.5" needle and gain access to the muscle. Your shoulders would be the next best option.
While I’m sure it’s very hard, losing a significant amount of fat will restore normal function to your hormonal system. Essentially, being as fat as you are has turned you into a woman.

Hey All,
I’ve been on testosterone replacement for awhile now, and have decided to switch from the gel I put on my forearms, to test cyp.
My problem is that I’ve never injected before, AND, I’m obese, like 45%bf obese.
I’m sure I can just go to my family doctor
(my hrt doc is in another state), but I’d rather not have to pay to be taufgt how to inject.
So, with obesity thrown into the mix, anyone have any suggestions on how I can inject?
Thanks for any input,
Steve
I’ve heard you can inject into the fat. Its not as good as into the muscle, but it can be done. Do research it before, don’t take my word for it.
His not on “AAS”, this is more of a med at such a low dose man. He needs it becuase he does not make enough himself.

I had to edit my previous post. See above.
I think his shoulder is the best area.
I understand that the more body fat, the more estrogen, and the greater reduction in testosterone.
I’m sure losing weight will help my estrogen/progesterone issues.
Before I started Testosterone replacement,I asked my doctor (he’s a male hormone specialist)if I could correct my hormone problem through lifestyle changes alone, and he said in some cases that’s possible, but not in mine.My levels were REALLY low.
I think that higher testosterone levels, with an AI will make me more motivated, less anxious, and help me to lose weight.

I think it was tested. Maybe not.
It’s out of the question anyway.
I have to pay out of pocket for everything.
BTW, I’m 27. I know that age isn’t a great predictor of gh status in my case, but you do what you can do.

Well, for the sake of your health, I hope you are changing your eating habbits and lifting along with injecting test. I dont mean it in a negative way, only encouraging.
Have your blood sugars checked. You might be insulin resistant. Lean tissue will resist uptake of nutrients and that leaves more for the fat cells. Fish oils, CLA, GLA will help the cell receptors and cell wall permeability. Chromium picolinate can also help with insulin sensitivity. Search and read on syndrome-X or metabolic disorder. You will find things of value for general health even if your blood sugars and fasting insulin are normal.
Build muscle mass, that lean tissue will help you loose weight. The testosterone will allow for great gains if you make the effort to do some strength training.
