The patriot act is something that I confess I have a difficult time settling into a firm position on for reasons irrelevant to the point of this post. It’s been that way for me since it’s beginning.
What is relevant to the point of this post is that the patriot act does bestow considerable powers to the federal government, exactly the kind that the strong arm school of politics that Obama and company were spawned from have wet dreams about and I never believed for one second that once in office they would relinquish those powers because they respect the right to privacy.

Good. Norway should try, as much as much possible, to avoid subsidizing the lazy countries. The EU was set up to loot northern Europe, to weaken it by forcing it to prop up the weaker members.
