Oh, for crying out loud. I saw them. That is so pathetic.

It was (should’ve been) a dead giveaway when the article quoted Bam as saying we’d killed millions of Muslims.[/quote]

Saw it reposted on my facebook page a few times with similar comments.

Ignorance is a scary thing and it’s not really a left or right thing. Both koolaid drinkers are loaded with many idiots.

I went back and looked at those comments. Not one of the commenters seemed to be aware that it was a joke article on a joke website.

I think most of those comments were made by the same types who think Landover Baptist Church ( We Decent Christians Mustn't Celebrate Negro History ) is a legit Christian website, and that Team America, World Police is a patriotic film.

I like to think of these folks as being intellectually anemic, because they are dangerously deficient in irony.

The weird thing I think is that my stock response to any of this is bullshit. The first thing when I hear almost anything that sounds misleading when it comes to politics is bullshit. It’s like the 47 percent no taxes thing. When I first heard Romney say that I was like bullshit, where are you getting that number. Ah sure, throw in the elderly, some troops for good measure, and the people making bank but zeroing out their federal income tax bill.

The stock response of many people though is to believe something. Especially when they are far to the left or far to the right. If you’re a die hard lefty you’ll believe pretty much anything Dems say. If you’re a righty who’s been soaking up the Obama is a MOO-SLIM plant for years you have no problem buying this.

Wasn’t that the rejected second choice for the Skinny Cow brand name?

If not it should have been

The sad thing is that a website pushing itself as a “real” news source linked to it. Do these people not check things? Do they literally assume every email they receive is completely authentic? Cause, you know, people never lie on the internet. I mean, there were sorority girls in my undergrad intro to journalism classes that would’ve been like, “wait a minute, maybe the fact that someone typed these words in this order isn’t, on its own, sufficient proof of its authenticity.”

99/100, you can get your news from just about anywhere and it won’t make a lick of difference. People like the guy who was pushing The Real News or whatever the hell that was–basically a Communist propaganda outlet–like to focus on the 99 times. It’s the one time that fucks you.

See?

This is why my “does it cost me money” test is so important.

Because if it does not, who cares?

lol, touche

This seems to follow the John Stewart type of news. People look to these types of news outlets for news whether it is news or not.
