Interestingly, the “Chess Master” strategically decided to have rock concert in Berlin, but opted not to visit wounded soldiers in Landstuhl and Ramstein.

The military installations have rules regarding the bringing of a campaign entourage and the taking of photos:

A U.S. military official tells NBC News they were making preparations for Sen. Barack Obama to visit wounded troops at the Landstuhl Medical Center at Ramstein, Germany on Friday, but “for some reason the visit was called off.”

One military official who was working on the Obama visit said because political candidates are prohibited from using military installations as campaign backdrops, Obama’s representatives were told, “he could only bring two or three of his Senate staff member, no campaign officials or workers.” In addition,
“Obama could not bring any media. Only military photographers would be permitted to record Obama’s visit.”

The official said “We didn’t know why” the request to visit the wounded troops was withdrawn. “He (Obama) was more than welcome. We were all ready for him.”

Obama spokesperson’s answer:

The senator decided out of respect for these servicemen and women that it would be inappropriate to make a stop to visit troops at a U.S. military facility as part of a trip funded by the campaign.

What a fucking dick…He couldn’t get face time on the TV so he said fuck the troops. It’s nice to know the military can count on their commander in chief.

He’s my new swear word, which is perfect timing because I need to go take an ‘obama’.
Don’t forget to wipe your ‘McCain’…

After you take an ‘obama’ and wipe your’mccain’, you might want to shower before you ‘clinton’ your wife.

Mabey have your wife shower with you if she wants you to go down on her ‘kerry’

maybe she’ll even suck your ‘harry Reid’…or lick your hairy ‘pelosi’ sack

Surely Kerry’s opponent is more appropriate here.

Psst…Mufasa did it ever occur to you that the right wants Obama to win this one? Think about it.

Yes, I have thought of that one. Good point. Whoever wins this election will immediately find themselves in deep shit, thanks to the failures of
Bush. It will perhaps be a pyrrhic victory.

This is what I think…

I think that the Trip is more to take away some of the Republican’s “ammunition” than necessarily to sway a large number of voters. (Besides giving the campaign some great photo-ops…)

Obama has great instincts and he self-corrects. I think a lot of us are willing to forgive his naivete because he’s wise enough to learn from his mistakes…he only seems to make them once. McCain doesn’t even seem to understand what this race is about.
