If you’re an aspiring powerlifter and want to gain mass as fast as possible, junk food can be valuable as much of it is calorically dense. However, there are plenty of whole foods that are calorically dense also. It seems like you’re looking for a rationale to have junk food, to me. Again, building muscle is a marathon, not a sprint. You would be much better served eating a healthy diet with plenty of micronutrients. This will also contribute to a much better body composition.
Just eat capn crunch and protein shakes…That’s all you need to know about nutrition.
Muscles = capn crunch + protein shakes.

That is the only part that i don’t understand.Aren’t excess calories the ones who make you fat ? Like for a person he must indulge an extra 400 calories to promote the muscle growth but he eats 600 ? What is the corelation between junk food and fat gains ? Isn’t a calorie a calorie ?
Sorry if i am being excessive but it fuckin plagues my mind [/quote]
Then it comes down to that new buzz word Partitioning. If you are healthy you are more likely to “partition” the excess calories towards muscle growth than if you are unhealthy. Make sense? Eating a crap diet for any length of time is likely to leave you unhealthy and not in an optimal state to build muscle.
eat healthy, eat heaps!
With regard to the question of whether a calorie is just a calorie, let me ask you this question, which was already posted above in slightly different terms. Do you really think your body handles a calorie from say, broccoli as a calorie from maltodextrin or sugar?

You are such a f*cking troll.
Go to the search bar and put in “calorie vs calorie”
Look at the thermogenic effect as well as the bodies hormone response to food.
Feel like I am talking to a 12 year old with no context.
