So basically, I’ve been suffering with the standard low t symptoms for pretty much all my adult life. I never get morning wood, low libido, low energy ect.
I’ve just done an online test to check if I do actually have a lack of testosterone or it’s all in my head and here are the results:
Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.
No I’m not supplementing any DHEA or anything, it just seems to be naturally quite high. Is this related to the adrenals?
Yeah, I need to test my free test, but I’d imagine it’s low, but not enough for TRT because the FAI is low.
I’m in UK, my diet has always been pretty clean. I’m about 12% BF, I’m usually on and off working out, but wasn’t at the time of this test. I’ve been having these problems pretty much my entire adult life without any explanation. I also get frequent headaches if that’s any help? Also, I’m not on any medication for anything.
