Noose on Truck

Define “disrespects his service”.

Lixy, this type of thing is what I was referring to.
Groups coordinating to sabotage the last memory of a families soldier son or daughter.

Edit: By service, I meant funeral service.
Not sure if you meant militarty service or funeral service. Just re-read and realized I was a little ambiguous.

I assumed you meant military service since you used the expression “comes home in a box”. My bad then.

Carry on.

I disagree, especially disturbing the peace at a funeral. If that were a funeral for some one I cared a bout they would go to jail if I had to go with them.

You would, but they wouldn’t, unless they fought back.

But you don’t understand the point that was made. Free speech is a quickly dying freedom.
I feel reasonably confident I could pick a fight, and I would not consider harassing some one as being free speech.

Dumb thing to do. But, a crime? No way, I’d be very concerned with a government capable of prosecuting such things. What’s next? Like other’s have asked, flag burners? Westboro Baptists insulting grieving family memebers at their child’s funeral? There’s a lot of disgusting examples of free speech, but they shouldn’t be policed.

Well put, definitley not a crime, but in some peoples eyes cause for catching a severe beating, be it by a single person, or a group of people. I know if my brother-in-law comes home in a box and someone disrespects his service, they will definitley catch said beating.

Man I hope that didn’t come off too “fight club”
Now see, don’t get me wrong, I’m not the perfect citizen. If I witnessed the deceased’s father deck one of them, and a cop asked me for a statement on what I witnessed, I’d complain about the sun glare that prevented me from clearly seeing the assailant’s face and clothing. If you know what I mean.

It is absolutely astounding that the sun sometimes manages to shine from all four directions at once…

Law Makes Noose Display a Felony

Good find Lixy.

This sounds like the stupidest shit ever IMO.

I love that we are now outlawing “knots.” I guess next we will have to get Concealed Noose Permits.

I understand the history, but come on. I guess we should ban crosses since the KKK set them on fire in black peoples yards. Oh and horses too, because I always see KKK members on them in the movies.

Displaying the noose is only a crime if it is done with the intent to threaten.

And don’t forget white fabric. They were covered in that stuff.

Neph, don’t know if you are talking to me or not. But if you are:

Displaying the __________ is only a crime if it is done with the intent to threaten. (insert any object; pencil, screwdrive, baseball bat, rubber penis, tire-iron)

Did we need a new law for this? I thought this has always been the case?

I just hope we don’t get to the point where having a noose automatically gets you 10 years in prison because it’s “hate speech” or some other bullshit.

Well, I guess its ok then.

Care to explain who you prove intent?

You can´t. It will come down to a set of circumstances that stand for intent.

And DAs trying to make a career out of it.

God forbid the Duke LaCrosse team had had a rope in one of their rooms.

My point is only that the display of the noose is not itself prima facie evidence of intent to threaten. One may still use it in political speech, if one chooses.

Good point, perhaps.

Try writing it in English so we can all appreciate it.
I am sorry I cannot possibly dumb down everything enough so you would be able to understand it.

You will either have to overcome your limitations or learn to live with them.

It’s called PISS;
“Perception inhibiting spontaneous sundogs”

“Yeah I saw them Westboro guys and remember someone approaching the group, but I was really pissed so I saw nothing”
“Same here, officer, I was totally pissed and can’t remember shit -sorry”

He he. Of course I understood that you’re just too lazy to proof your own writing.

But I wanted to see if you were petty enough to respond to my meaningless insult.

Yes. I am!

It is all because of Americas big penises!

Where I hung like you, I´d be exstatic…

Alas, I am not…

You dwarf me…
