I’ve just come off two years of TRT. 4 weeks since last shot of test and just started 40 mg daily of Nolva. I read elsewhere that you need to run Adex at the same time is that correct? Any advice from knowledgeable blokes is very much appreciated. Hopefully I get this restart right.
Trt for 2 years and you’re coming off? Does that work? I don’t know if your natural test levels would come back or not even with pct. Seems like a long time to be shut down.
I dont want to give the wrong impression for people thinking this is a good idea but recovery after 2 years is very likely. Of course the OPs age and health when starting trt and other factors such as why did OP start trt play a big roll in this. If trt was started because levels were already garbage then sure recovery is still possible but what’s the point? To recover back to your shitty pre trt levels?
There’s this idea that if you run a cycle longer then 16 weeks or if your on trt for a year that your stuck. There is a lot of self reports of young guys early mid 20s who hop on steroids blast and cruise for years then decide to jumps off and often have 100% recovery. Doing this is obviously irresponsible and one of the main reasons why young people IMO should not blast and cruise or even use steroids unless there is some pro card or paying future in it for them.
OP you do not need adex just run a standard nolva pct maybe run it 6-8 weeks then get bloods drawn 2 months after. My question tho is as stated above why did you start trt in the first place? How old are you?
I’m 41 and started TRT after tests revealed I had low but normal test levels and elevated SHBG and E2 which left me with very low free T. My doc tested my levels after I presented with symptoms of fatigue, low libido, change in body comp despite training consistently and maintaining a good diet. Doc offered to start me on TRT to see if my symptoms improved. I felt great on TRT and with the improved muscle mass and libido I thought I’d just stay on - why wouldn’t I? As time went on I got a niggling feeling that I should come off and confirm that it’s was the test making me feel great and not the increased gains and libido. So here I am.
I’m realistic about the likelihood of a full recovery but want to give it a go. I’m hopeful that running HCG the entire time will improve my chances. I guess time will tell.
Theres a chance you can recover, but after 2 years and at your age, just a standard SERM pct is ambitious, almost silly.
Test stasis and taper is your best bet followed by Nolva. Its how I came off and recovered a few years ago.

I just realized we have already discussed this month’s ago here. People gave you great advice then that is probably gonna be the same advice you get now.
Keep us updated on what you decide to do. Why don’t you talk with your trt doc about getting off first and see what he suggest for a protocol.
Relax man. Yeah I got great advice and have asked a question here specific to running Adex with Nolva. I’m midway through my restart and have relied on that advice to get to this point. I’m In Australia and TRT docs don’t do restarts they do cold turkey.
Did I come across as not relaxed? My response could have been much different like “people gave you great advice then what makes you think asking the same question again is going to get you a different response” or “what didn’t you understand about the advice that was given to you months ago”
I was simply suggesting the previous advice given in my opinion was the best and to take a look at it again and go with it. There was nothing suggesting using adex in any previous advice which is what I was getting at.
Whoa Whoa Whoa Tiger. Settle down with all that toxic masculinity.
Must be the low test talking. I’m confident this restart has completely failed. I stopped the shots and upped the HCG for a month before starting Nolva (it’s all I could get). 3 weeks of nolva and total T is 3.2 nmol/l, LH 2 and E2 is >60 pmol//
I’ve never felt this crap in my life. Total physical and mental fatigue, joints are killing me etc I’m in oz and not much here in the way of TRT docs. Went to see my doc today and he recommends jumping straight back on T or running with HCG mono. I’m tempted to just stick with TRT for life but don’t want to jump the gun when I’ve been through this hell already. Might stick with the SERM for two more weeks and retest as this must be rock bottom.
You need to include ranges whenever listing test values.
But regardless your only 3 weeks in its normal to feel like shit. I’d be suprised if you didn’t feel like shit. This isn’t gonna be quick and easy.
As I recall you had shitty test levels before trt they were “low normal” problem is there is nothing normal about the low end of the ranges they use. You got a taste of what real “normal” test levels feel like so even if you do recover back to where you were your probably not gonna feel great if for not other reason your gonna be comparing how you feel to your most recent memory of trt levels.
As you said you’re a few weeks in might as well stick it out if this is something that important to you but I don’t think there’s gonna be any pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Does the time on actually matter? I thought shut down is shut down - whether 6 months or 6 years it’s the same. Not so?
The longer you’re on the more damage to the testis.
