No Promises This Time

Thanks for asking. Family’s doing fair and better than a lot. We send enough on a regular basis to buy rice for the family and families in our neighborhood. My brother in law is the Purok mayor and he started a chicken co-op which is doing great. Lots of eggs and chickens to harvest. Any one in the neighborhood who works to maintain it gets a share. Main problem there is the country’s not getting enough vaccine, hopefull soon. Good news is the infection rate there is very low.

All I had time for today. Cousin Mike has decided to expand and move about 1/4 mile down the road from his current gym. About twice the space. Went down with him and looked over the place. Lot of room outside, too for tires, stones, and such. Gonna rent out the current building. He also informed me I and many of the relatives will be assissting with the move end of May.

The T&F Senior Olympics in Tennessee is on hold til they find a venue to hold the event. Hopefully they will and it’ll still be held in June. Been out to throw a few days and not as bad as I expected. This tells me a lot. I’m getting my distances from strength and not technique. Means i need to really hit the technique work. I’m in a new age group this year so looking forward to getting at least a compor two.

Indoor swim - 50 min out of pool straight to a 2 mile run
Temp hit 82f this afternoon so went down to the river. Waded out to waist level. Still pretty cool and running real high and fast. Not suppose to rain again for a few days and get up to near 90f so hopefully back to the river soon. How I’ll miss the chlorine, not. Pix: my production crew in the Philippines putting together package to distribute to neighbors. 1 kilo rice, 1 1.5k chicken. One 25k bag of rice = 25 families. We do the distribution once a week. Every little bit helps. And the child labor,

great, great nieces is cheap.

Bent a blade on my brand new only used twice mower blades. Cussed the damn machine in 5 langauges, went and got a new blade and changed it. Same spot I’ve mowed over for years grew a rock. Mother turns 95 this coming Friday so we’re having a big celebration for her birthday and Mother’s Day for the whole family. I’m in charge of trash receptacles, collection, and disposal. It sucks being the baby brother sometimes. I does know how to delgate though.

50 min swim followed by 2 mile run. Weathers warming up. Should be able to get back in the river soon. Mango picking time in the Philippines. Nephews are harvesting them

and little hands (his daughter) is stealing them.

Really cool journal you have here. You definitely move some heavy weight and also hit the swimming and running. A 50-minute swim is no joke, and you’re swimming in a river? Shoot, I’d take the pool so I can follow the line on the bottom and not have to look up all the time. That’s intense! I’ll be checking your journal regularly.

Live in the Philippines at least half the year and it’s nothing but ocean swimming there. Usually get in 2k at least every other day there.
