I have been on TRT for over two years, and I haven’t had any real positive results, Ed and very low libido. My lab scores for T run between 800-900 and Estradiol is always around 25-30.
Recently, we tested my Cortisol and my scores were ate bottom of all ranges through out the day. MY pregnenolone was also at the very bottom of the range and I was given 100mg pregnenolone for 3 months and no improvement.
DHEA was 158, in the middle of the scale prolactin was 7.0 4.0-15.2.
I was hoping you guys might be able to point me in the direction for additional tests.
I can tell you one odd thing is that when I inject what sexual energy I have fades. At first I thought it was estradiol increasing but when I took .25mg-.50 Anastrozole I would go downhill, odd huh?
Anyway if you guys have any thought I would welcome them.
Thanks for taking the time to read this thread and offering your thoughts.
Check your thyroid. Do TSH, fT3, fT4, rT3 tests. Check body temps. Read the thyroid sticky. Shit can go sideways if a weak thyroid can’t keep up with new demands by Testosterone.
How often do you inject? How do you dose Anastrozole? Do you inject HCG? If not, explains your low pregnenolone. Read the protocol for injection sticky.
I have done TSH,T3 and T4 several and they are all on the lower end of the scale, but your right I need some more recent scores.
Body temp is 98.0
I’m fortunate that I don’t need much Anastrozole, my E runs about 25-30 always.
I do use HCG, but just started 2 months ago 300iu EOD, and T Cyp .17 EOD.
I use Viagra, and respond well to it. 100mg 3 times a week.
Thanks for taking your time to help me with my problem. I wish I had more recent thyroid labs to offer buy since they were always I range the doc stopped ordering them.
But I’m due for labs next week and I have those added.
Being in range with thyroid numbers does not in any way preclude some serious problems. And post doctors are very ignorant about thyroid issues. Look as this, as it might be your problem then something that can be fixed.
Hypothyroidism and hypogonadism have many symptoms in common.
If you can’t hit 98.6F in the mid afternoon, that is a problem. See the sticky for further details.
Look at your old thyroid labs:
TSH should be near 1.0
T3, fT3, T4, fT4 should be near mid range
fT3 is what gets the job done, it is very critical
if fT3 is good and body temps are low, fT3 may not be getting into your cells because it is been blocked by rT3
