Another option would be to find a hunter and get some meat from him or her. Its hard to imagine a more ethical way to get meat than that. The only reason I don’t do it is that I don’t have a freezer big enough to store half/ all of an animal in it.
If you can still eat dairy proteins then you should be fine. If you are vegan, this could be a bit challening. You see, your body produces some amino acids and some it does not. The amonios your body does not produce are considered essential amino acids. This means it is essential that you get hem through your diet. The problem is that not a lot of vegetable proteins have every essential amino acid.
The other factor is the bioavilability rating. There is a sacle for proteins that should you the percent of the protein that can be absorbed and. Most vegetable proteins are low on this scale. I’d say if you are a vegetarian, and are still interested in gaining muscle, don’t go full vegan, rather include some eggs and whey protein.
No meat and training is like no vagina and sex.
Yes it’s possible but you’re not going to have a good time and everyone is going to make fun of you ![]()

Just imagine the possibilities with meat.

The problem I have is with factory farming. They just cram all these animals into these horrible settings. There is zero concern for these animals welfare. At the very least, show some degree of compassion for their concern.
I do agree that a lot of vegans are a bit self-righteous and attached to their morality. When I see that it turns me off. I understand that eating meat is not abnormal, but the conditions of these animals are abhorrent. It’s not like the old days before everything got so industrialized. At the very least people should try and eat less meat.
Or turn to other methods. The half a cow I have in my freezer lived a happy well cared for life in a grassy pasture. I know, he lived down the road from me.
The eggs I eat come from happy healthy chickens that run around all day in the sun chasing bugs in my back yard.
Same here. My beef is pasture-raised, and I am part of a local chicken and egg CSA. Meat doesn’t have to be the environmental culprit that vegans and vegetarians make it out to be. Humans are closer to being carnivores than herbivores. Our digestive tract more closely resembles that of a wolf than that of a sheep.
It’s fine. I’ve been vegan quite a while and don’t seem to have any problem staying lean and muscular training 2-3x a week.
