I actually googled it, and it seems that infectious mono can lead to hepatitis.
But I am not a doctor, and I highly doubt that a google search and granny’s advice is much to go on.

Cool. Thanks guys.
So far I feel lucky that I feel essentially . . . fine. I know a lot of people have said they had mono and felt like train wrecks for weeks and weeks.
Keeping my fingers crossed – so far so good!

All hepatitis really means is an inflammation of the liver, so yeah your viral infection could cause some swelling of that organ. After all the liver makes most of the proteins associated with your immune system and if it is placed under a strain by a systemic infection then it may respond by temporarily increasing its size to cope with the increased workload, or it may become inflamed due to the direct presence of viral agents within it.
This does not mean that you have contracted one of the specific viruses associated with what is commonly known as ‘hepatitis’, ie the ‘A’, ‘B’, etc strains. Good luck with a speedy recovery. Bushy.[/quote]
