NHL Playoffs

I don’t think Dallas could have a much better game against Detroit than they did tonight, save the last minute where they took penalties when in an empty net situation.

Detroit leads series 2-0 going back to Dallas

I don’t usually do this this early in a series, but unless Philadelphia is radically born again and soon, the Penguins are going to the finals in 4. They are outhustling Philly to the point of making them look stupid.

OK, this is late enough. The Flyers, down 2 goals and time becoming a factor looked only mildly interested in finishing the game at all never mind any desperation to win.

Yeah, they looked just like the Rangers and Senators did when they were in the same situation - fucking tired and demoralized. The Pens are just wearing teams out this postseason.

No idea how we’ll fare vs. Detroit though (obviously assuming we win this series).

You will win this series as we will win ours. Dare I say that both teams will find their greatest challenge this playoff year in the finals. I’m taking nothing for granted, but I do believe the young Penguins are about to have their eyes opened.

I heard the same thing from Flyers fans a week ago. We’ll see. I think it will be a great series.

Oh I think it’ll be a great series too. By far the best in the playoffs and don’t take me wrong. I am not predicting that we’ll walk through the Penguins, but we have 23 cup rings on our bench and one helluva strong team to go along with possibly the most underrated goal tender in history. A lot of our guys have been here and won including Osgood.

The Penguins have some great young talent and tons of determination, not to mention towering confidence right now. They are however untested when the chips are down, especially Fleury. They may surprise me and I’ll graciously accept defeat if it comes, but I don’t see any team prevailing over the Wings in a best of seven series this year.

I wasn’t shocked that Dallas was able to take one at home, but I cannot believe how Philly is takin it to the Penguins tonight. 3 nuthin doesn’t even tell the story. Except for a few brief moments the Flyers have had a vise grip on control of this game even shorthanded.

Pittsburgh isn’t going away though. 3 - 2 on 2 3rd period goals and a minute and a half left. They’re comin at the end here too.

Philly gets the empty netter. Pittsburgh’s going home too. So much for the sweeps huh?

DONT MISS THE WORLD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHI FINALE

A CLASSIC

CANADA VS RUSIA

GO CANADA GO

The Flyers are getting their asses unceremoniously handed to them on a silver platter… under glass.

This game is far from over, but so far it looks like somebody reminded the Wings that the season is on the line. 4 nuthin just now in the 2nd.

Sorry Boss

Why do they have to do this to me?!

4 - 1

Still 3 goal lead, 2:49 left at the break.

Whew, were going to the finals.
