Pattern has been the home team winning.

If the Canucks win Vancouver will be unliveable for the next 6 months.

buncha bandwagon fans, all those fuckers.

then again, Blackhawks fans went the same way. :\

Vancouver is a big hockey market. My bro and I have been on the season ticket wait list for about 3 years and had to throw down about three hundred just to get on.

To be honest the bandwagoners probably have done more to fuck with the team (read Luongo) than instill confidence and establish a support base.

We all know Luongo’s ego can be shattered easily, and psychologically you get under his skin (PB Andy knows this very well) and he’s caves.

In game 4 all the people that could get into Rogers Arena, because it was ten dollars, cheered after Luongo got pulled. Then in game five and before game seven you had all these are shitheads questioning whether he should be in at all.

I know Luongo should be able to handle the pressure as he is a world class athlete, but added pressure and hyper-vocalization of the huge band wagon fan base is doing nothing to help his confidence - it is confidence, not skill Luongo needs in game 7.

All a goalie can do is keep the score 0-0. In the Rogers arena games he’s done pretty much that, with two shutouts. Where have all our epic goal scorers gone? This blame needs to be more evenly distributed, including to the fan base.

We’ve clearly figured that Tim Thomas plays outside the crease and that if we bank directly behind the net and have someone waiting stick side for the rebound we can get goals, but we messed that play up 3-4 times in game 6.

Those guys are warriors, 2 months of playoffs, they’re starting to look like holocaust victims.

I can’t wait until tomorrow, but its going to suck when it ends.

Go Canucks Go!

Clearly I’m not a band wagon fan, after all, Ballard is still my avatar.

It will be quite a game. I really think the Bruins take it. They could have easily swept the series. Can’t say the same for the 'nucks.

Let’s hope the reffing is somewhat fair this time around.

Shipshape what are you talking about? ‘Thats old-time bruins hockey’ why would they be penalized.

Let me preface this post by saying, while I’m not a total pink hat fan of hockey, I’m pretty close. So don’t beat me up too bad if I say anythign stupid.

This is really interesting for the following:

a) From what I understand the only way the Bruins have a chance to win is to be very physical because they don’t have the talent to skate with Vancouver.

And I’m not sure what specific plays you guys are referring to, but:

b) The local media guys had a very interesting point, and it seems you two are basically good examples of it. Their point, if I understand it correctly, is that American style hockey is very different than Canadian style. I guess American views are more “beat 'em up and punch them in the mouth” where the Canadian is “skate around them with talent and skill and embellish when hit.”

I have no clue if that is true, but a few writers (who I don’t always have the most faith in) are complaining about Vancouver’s media antics, brash bravado and diving on the ice… And I don’t hear many people from the Boston side complaining about officials outside of the finger biting incident going unpunished.

Now I only hear the Boston side of this every morning & afternoon, and understand that fact is leading me to conclusions that may or may not be correct. But you have to understand that Boston fans are typically skeptical and brutal fans. And the radio personalities I’m listening to are fairly straight shooters, so…

What do you guys think?

You do realize there are far more Canadians on the Bruins team than on the Canucks right? I would say it is more a North American vs European style of hockey, with the Canucks having way more Euro’s.

lol, yeah. I think I mean more from a fan/media perspective than players.

I’ve heard this also, where most “great” teams have a north american (Canadian too) leader and a euro skill guy, not the other way around.

I have no clue how true that is though, just what I heard on the radio.

looks like the cup goes to the Bruins, unless they royally fuck up.
