Nope.
I have Adrafinil which when processed by the body turns into Modafinil. It doesnāt require a prescription like Moda but takes longer to kick in and is a little more toxic of taken for longer periods of time. It does the same thing though.
Thereās also Phenylpiracetam that also doesnāt require a prescription and helps with wakefullness and that type of thing. Google depot nootropics.

There are two kinds, Provigil and Nuvigil. Provigil is the original. They are supposed to keep you awake without the buzz people get from stuff like Adderall. Did nothing for me, either of them, but supposedly great for normal people.

After 2.5 weeks no noticeable changes on 150mg bupropion so doc is upping me to 300mg for 2 weeks and then on 450mg (max dose) for 3 weeks before another follow up. If its not helping/working then he wants to try modafanil.

It takes a good 4-6 weeks on 300mg before youāll notice any difference whatsoever. I wouldnāt do 450mg so soon. Irmo just cause extra anxiety without any extra benefit over 300mg (unless 300mg after enough time has passed does not work)

Noted but honestly just need to be coherent so leaning towards the the docs rec even if it seems a bit hasty. He seems to think I may not respond to 450mg for whatever reason.
If you read all the reviews on buproprion just about everyone states it doesnāt do anything at all the first 6 weeks. A majority of the folks that review it negatively only took it for a month and report feeling nothing. As someone who took 300mg for a long time and then 450mg the only difference I felt was extra increased anxiety. 450mg also increases the chance of a seizure so let your wife or whoever know in case you have one.

Edit: Also to note I think he is going this way due to my nonsensitivity to stimulants (caffeine).
It was about 3 years before TRT and and 1.5 while on TRT (about 5 years total)

Are you sensitive to caffeine? Did you have anxiety going into the drug?
I have never really had anxiety. If anything I have a problem with not worrying enough about shit I should worry about but buproprion definitely have me some amount of anxiety. It wasnāt unmanageable and the outweighed that one negative by a million.

Will be following the Wellbutrin trial with interest. I know weāve had some back and forths. If it really works as an antidepressant, weight loss, mild ADHD drug, and libido booster, seems to be pretty damn good if it functions as intended. And that article the guy just posted shows it increases brain volume.

Wife using sr 2x a day 150 each. No libido boost, unfortunately for me.
Weight loss maybe. Everything else no benefit.
For how long?
Sept 4. Dr wants to see her in s couple of weeks before refill.
If she losing weight itās worth it just for that.
It did not make her anxiety worse. Which is a good thing
