NFL Playoffs

Garbage, The Steelers will win the Super Bowl because I don’t have money on it.

Steelers vs. Seahawks with Steelers win.

Denver didn’t beat the Pats, the Pats beat themselves. Denver isn’t as good as the Colts or the Bengles for that matter. The Steelers will pick them apart with the same type of football that has won their past 6 games.

In my opinion no one in the NFC could beat any of the AFC contenders. The AFC championship game will be better than the SuperBowl.

Agreed

Denver > Pittsburgh

Seattle > Carolina

Denver will win the superbowl. You can’t underestimate Denver. Oh, and I hope a Denver LB breaks Ben Rottenbooger in half on the first play.

Next Year - Who Dey! Bengals will go all the way.

also agreed.

Good point. The Patriots have won but they did not dominate.

Could this be because the AFC has been so much tougher in the last few years? Possibly the AFC championship is a so much tougher game and harder to win, it then makes the Superbowl a letdown game and anticlimatic.

If this is the case, well, they sort of dominated the AFC playoffs each year.

I know its not a big deal because the Pats found lots of ways to give the game away, but do you all remember the “pass interference” call on Asante Samuel that was BS? The receiver actually pushed off of him! AAHHH, they just gave the Broncs 7 free points.

Anyhow, football’s over. Now I can start worrying about the Sox. No CF and no SS… But at least the Yank-me’s don’t have any pitching.

Is it April yet?

Horrible call. But even with the 7 free points the Patriots still would have lost the game. I wonder if they all smoked dope before that game started. Oh well, baseball season is next. Go Boston!

Why is no one picking carolina? In my opinion they are probally the most complete team going into this weekend. Sure Deshaun Foster is out, but they get results regardless whether it be goings, davis, or foster. Delhomme is probaly the best quarterback out of the four. Carolina knows how to win big games on the road. They got a tought athletic defense that will beat up on hasselbeck. why is everyone making a big deal about S.A? first of all he is not 100% and did no one see the panthers beat up on the other mvp canidate Tiki Barber in the wild card round. Panthers over broncos. Just a little side note: Does anyone else notice that for about the last 8 years or so one home team and one away team always makes it to the superbowl. I found that pretty interesting.

Good point. The AFC has been much better the last few years overall.

My take on it is they are a very good team.

There are a lot of mediocre football teams with the current parity. They have done a great job being just enough better than anyone else.

Their missing the playoffs a couple years ago really takes away from the dynasty.

When the Cowboys won 3 out of 4 SB’s they went to the NFC championship game their off year. The Pats didn’t make the playoffs during their off year.

Now we can finally let the hype diedown and see them as they really were. A very good football team that had a lot of things fall into place.

Patriots have benefitted from so many questionable calls over these last few years that it was refreshing to see a bad call actually go against them.

I just dont think anyone who says “this or that team WILL win the superbowl no doubt” should be given any credit. I personally feel the broncos could take it, im a hardcore broncos fan and that’d be sweet. But as for this AFC is SO much ungodly better than nfc or this or that team doesnt stand a chance, its bull. Over the last few years, ANY team that makes it to the afc or nfc championship has plenty of talent and could take it on any given day. I do think seattle should win the nfc though, and i hope and think the broncos will take the afc.

Ha ha ha! Long live the Tuck Rule!

He is a good QB that has had a lot of things go right for him.

I hate when they talk up how good a QB is when he has all day to throw.

There was this guy in that played for the Titans named Steve McNair. Anyone remeber him? He used to be able to take a nap in the pocket and he won the MVP.

A few years later his line sucks and he becomes ineffective when he can stay healthy.

Football is a team game. QBs get too much credit when they win and too much blame when they lose.

You could easily blame Brady for this loss. He threw two bad costly picks and had a lot of horrible throws.

He racked up a lot of junky yards but couldn’t get them in the endzone.

I don’t personally don’t blame Brady for the loss just like I don’t give him too much credit when they win.[/quote]

And the great thing about Brady is that he agrees with you…you didn’t see him bitching about his protection in the post game interview. Peyton doing that, albeit in the heat of the moment, knocked him down a notch with regards to his professionalism. As a sports fan you have to like the way the Pats go about doing things…team first. It’s not their fault that media has to put labels on teams, players, etc.

It depends on which Carolina defense shows up. If the one that that shutdown the Giants comes to the Seatle I think they have a good chance. If the one that allowed the Bears to put up 21 points shows up they’re toast. Delhomme is good but he’s not better than Roethlisburger.

Absolutely. They are a model franchise.

I am sick of the media hype. I do admire the team.
