NFL Off-Season 2013

Packers get Lacy and Johnation Franklin. That should be interesting… but as a Bears fan I am not liking it. Packers could be in the Superbowl again this year.
I was really suprised by the Lacy pick. I think I read somewhere that GB hasnt picked a RB this high in the draft since 1963. Crazy. And I like the pick. Arguably the best RB in the draft.

Franklin could be a pretty good pick as well. A small back but man he has some powerful legs.

I sure am glad to see that smarmy fucking bastard, Matt Barkley, fall into the fourth round. I couldn’t stand hearing all these draft analysts talk up his leadership qualities and football smarts and all that shit. He’s a smaller version of Alex Smith and all his smarts are going to do is make him halfway valuable in about five years as a clipboard holder. As for leadership, it’s kinda hard to be a leader on your team when you suck fucking cock and never play.
Wonder what he really thinks(read: what he isn’t saying in coached interviews where he refuses to admit it) about all that money he lost staying for 1 last shitty year at USC. He probably gets taken top10 last year as the 3rd QB, now he’s a 4th rounder.

Cam. No. Geno. No.

Otherwise that is a good list.
Cam yes, Geno no.

What will really define these guys in the end is how they adjust as they start to lose their legs. The lightning fast running QB has a 5 year shelf life on average. When they slow down they need to rely more on reading defense and dropping back, like normal. Of list, I think Luck has the best chance at longevity. That being said, all of then are amazing players, at least for now.

You have issues.

Of course, i would too if I rooted for teams from a city with the largest gay population south of the Mason Dixon Line and exactly ONE professional sports championship to its name in the last 150 years. If SF is a “sissytown”, what does that make the town whose teams are regularly steamrolled on their way to glory, such as the Giants beating the Braves on their way to the 2010 title or the million and one times the Niners walloped the Falcons when they were in the same division?

That makes your teams the bottom bitches, that’s what. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Yeah, go ahead and shoot some more guns at that logo. Whatever helps you forget about the pitiful nature of literally Every. Single. Sports Team. from Atlanta! I don’t blame you. It must be infuriating knowing that every team I root for has a much more successful, proud history than the teams you root for, and that includes the fucking Warriors, assuming you’re a Hawks fan. Is there even such a thing as a Hawks fan?
Pipe down Nancy. You know damn well that the 49ers run last year was pure dumb, luck. Without luck they are weak and average.

I laugh. Better to be lucky than good, as your Falcons can attest to. Of course, the Niners happen to be both. They’re the most physically-talented team in the NFL, they have the most physically-talented QB in the NFL, the best LB corps in the NFL by far, the best OL, the best running game and the best coaching staff. What do your Falcons have that is the best in the NFL?

Nothing. Their QB is one of the biggest postseason underachievers in the game today. Their fans are some of the worst, least dedicated fans in sports, their running back has maybe one good season left in him with nothing spectacular at all waiting in the wings. Actually, they do have perhaps the best receiving corps in the NFL, but it hardly matters when the guy throwing to them is a choke artist who routinely shrinks up in the big playoff moments.

And like I said earlier, if the Niners are Sissytown’s team, then that makes your team Sissytown’s bottom bitch.

If you take away Wilson, RG3 and Kaepernicks legs, they would still be good passers. Cam? Not so much. Without his running ability he is no good. Not to mention he is a head case.

Wilson, Kaep, RG3 and Luck all have one thing in common that Newton lacks in spades. Composure.

Lol!

Smash the QB and smash defenders from the backfield. Done and done. Love what the Steelers did in the draft. They also addressed the need for a safety and a WO.

Out of all the picks it’s LeVeon Bell that’s got me most excited. 6’1" 230 lbs. What a load coming at you and he has great hands which is a must in the Steelers offence. If he can learn to block to round out his game that city will love him to death. They’ll have a nickname for him in no time lol.

Smash mouth football is back!

I agree Cam’s biggest weakness is composure and maturity, but his measurables are all really good, including his passing. Trust me I have no love for Cam but he’s really talented. That I cannot deny.

I agree than Newton is very talented but IMO his talent all stems from his legs. If he had te mobility of Manning, Marino or Rivers then he would be a nobody QB. Without his ability to run (or possibly more importantly the threat to run) he would be serviceable QB at best. I agree he is talented but I think he is a bigger version of Vince Young. Newton isn’t terribly accurate so when his legs go he will be done. I do not think he has the arm to be a strict drop back passer and his lack of mental fortitude (something he shares with VY) will ultimately be his downfall IMO. You cannot lead an NFL team when you mope around, sit by yourself and cover your head with a towel after every interception.

I agree though that he is talented but I do not think he has staying power like Luck, Wilson, Kaep and RG3.

He can throw the ball deep too. Ask Steve Smith about that one.

Yes, they had some real deficits and definitely improved their team. They should be much better than last year. Now that Rivers has more to work with, we’ll see if he can live up to his potential.

I agree save for his passing accuracy. From what I have seen, he is a good passer and a good passer under pressure. But yeah, moping, covering your head with a towel and slumping off is the behavior of a weak minded person.
It’s the consequence of always being the best where ever you went and now, your matched talent wise. If he cannot address his maturity, man up and take his lumps, you are right he won’t last to long.

Its hard to grade teams now. You really have to go through at least a season before you can see the fruits of your draft picks. Right now it looks like Green Bay did great. Jones is supposedly a “Cullen Jenkins” type, Eddie Lacy is a top tier RB(with future injury issues possibly), and we grabbed 2 O-lineman and an additional RB to boot. But they may all end up injured, cut, or 2nd string 1-3 seasons down the road.
