NFL: New England / Boston

Big Ben can lay the pipe too, true blue collar style.

Quantity > Quality

Steeler defense leads the league in fewest YPG Passing, YPG Total and fewest points per game allowed at 12.9 AND if you throw out points that were not scored against the defense; that punt return, that kickoff return and that fumble return, they are giving up 11 points per game. Add on top of that the fact that Fast Willie Parker (FWP) is due for a big game and will be playing on a decent field for the first time in three weeks makes me like our chances, considering that his biggest assets are speed and cutting ability. All of those old linebackers in New England will be looking at the back of FWDs jersey all day long. I can’t wait 'till Sunday night.

Steelers play tough againts tough teams, so maybe just maybe they’ll man up and break Moss’ neck or Brady femor or…Damn, those Pats are just too damn good with too many tools, I hate being torn between my heat and brain.

F’it im going with my weiner. Go Titans!

I think new england will be hard pressed to go undefeated this year. The last game will end up having huge playoff implications for the giants, who as some have said here have a great pass rush, which i think is the only thing that can throw off brady.

Philly “figured out” how to play moss. Bump and run with the corner then play underneath with a safety overtop. Teams were doubling before but seldom with the bump and they were missing two key ingredients. A great corner and safety(rediculous that it takes two GREAT players to cover moss. Thats why both the last two teams have had success. Phill with sheppard and dawkins, baltimor with rolle/mccallister and ed reed.

I think indy has the best chance of knocking them out this year. They should have one the first meeting and did so without harrison.

i forget who it was, but whoever said greenbay will make it to the SB and knock out NE, that actually made me laugh out loud. The pack are only 10-2 because of a weak division in the weaker conference. I doubt they make it past a team like viks/giants/cards or whoever ends up makin the wildcard, let alone go to the SB.

The Giants are firmly in the fifth seed and need to lose at least two – more likely three – of their last four to lose that spot. The last game will probably end up meaning nothing as far as the playoffs go, for either team.

How do you define a weak division? The NFC North has the third best combined won/loss record and is one of only two divisions with only one team with a losing record. The NFC North contains one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, an amazing rookie running back, and probably the greatest return man ever. Sounds like a tough division to me. I’d probably rank it third or fourth, behind the AFC South, NFC East, and about even with the AFC North.

As far as the NFC being the weaker conference, I would reluctantly agree, but it’s far from a landslide. Yes, New England and Indy are probably better than than the entire NFC, but as a whole, the NFC holds a 26-24 won/loss record versus the AFC this year. And NE And Indy combine for seven of the AFC’s wins versus the NFC. The conferences are a lot closer than people realize.

You mean the same Giants that the Packers beat 35-13 in week two and scored 21 points on in the 4th quarter? You mean the same Vikings that the Packers beat twice already this year including a 34-0 shutout? You do also realize that Green Bay pretty much has a first round bye locked up and might not even face a wild card team in the playoffs?

combined win loss of the divison means nothing about the strength. If your in a shitty division you you play the same teams twice per year. Same with NFC vs AFC, you cant compare win loss records. There shitty based on the teams they play. With the exception of green bay every team in that division has a sub 500 conference win record. I find it hard for anyone to argue that a division with the viks, detroit and the bears is a strong one. Maybe the only weaker division would be the NFC west. These divisions just dont compare to the NFC east and AFC south(and for the last while the AFC north)

the first meeting between teams means shit. Once they have enough video to game plan against a team thats when teams with pure talent take over. The pack arnt going to fool anyone with there 5 wide set. The toe injury will affect woodson for the rest of the season also. I remember that happened to terrence newman a year or two ago and he said it took several months into the off season for it to totally calm down. Harris is the best number 2 corner in the NFC imo but he deosnt have what it takes to match up against the best WRs.

I dunno i could be completely off, anything can happen on any givin sunday, but i just dont have faith that the pack will hold it together come playoffs.

So… Patriots back on track?
