haha, outstanding post

Saints win.

Seattle loses.

Patriots are Zen masters.

Bowers won’t be able to fall asleep tonight.

Okay, I’m calm and objective. Or something resembling it.

Round 1 winners (IMO)

Denver - For some reason I thought they were going Marcell Dareus. I LOVE Von Miller opposite of Elvis Dumervil. To be fair, I’m totally a 3-4 guy but I love this pick.

Arizona - This is obvious, and I am bias in this regard.

Atlanta - First big surprise. Genius freaking pick… that offense looks NASTY already. I think things like JJ’s “drop problem” gets way over analyzed by guys like Mel Kiper. I saw him play frequently, as many of you did, he is a goddamn HOSS.

Jacksonville - WHAAA?! Yep, I’m totally a Blaine skeptic. Er, was-ish. I think a year or two behind David Garrard and with good coaching can be an extremely productive quarterback down the road. I still think way too much was made of him because people just need to make a QB every year for whatever reason, but everyone’s got a shot to be successful, and I like him in that situation. The AFC South is a little weebly-wobbly in the next couple years - but looking good for Houston.

Houston - Wisconsin is kind of one of my tertiary teams, so I got to see JJ play a fair share. He’s a monster, and now Houston’s front 7 is looking slick as hell.

Detroit - I hate seeing this. But I felt the collective excitement of Michigan channeling through me - This was a brilliant pick. Being put in a 4-3, especially with Suh and Vandenbosch is very optimal for Fairley, who a lot of people say takes too many plays off - but this could also be over-analyzing. I am shaking in my boots thinking about playing them IRL or in Madden next year.

Miami - Also bias here. I’d really wish he switched over to a guard - we’ll see.

New York (football) Giants - I’m not a big fan of Prince TBH, but with Terrell Thomas, Corey Webster and Aaron Ross I like his chances to be successful.

Tampa Bay - Claiborne is a beast, period.

Indianapolis - Not glamorous, but Indianapolis had a horrible line last year.

Kansas City - I got to see Baldwin play in some Pitt games this year, and he’s a freak. Reminds me of a slightly slower, bigger (Iknowrite) Calvin Johnson. Probably not quite to his level, but a threat is added to that offense which already has a great running game.

Baltimore - This is actually one of my favorite picks in Round 1. Like they were saying on TV, what a great defense to be thrust into. Given his “character concerns” and all that crap, this seems like a brilliant freaking fit.

Losers

Minnesota - What a joke. Possibly bias, but I don’t think so. Everyone hyped up how great Ponder was going to be, and he couldn’t even beat a bad Florida team too well. He’s very athletic, but this may be a tough division to be forced to start in as a ho-hum rook.

Seattle - I believe in Andy Dalton. 'Nuff said.

New Orleans - Concerning Mark Ingram, not their DE. I get that Payton is an offensive mastermind, but his running prowess doesn’t seem to be up to par comparably speaking. With four high-caliber running backs (assuming Ivory is legit) something’s got to give. It’s a shame that probably none of these running backs will even come close to 700 or 800 yards.

New York Jets - Um wat. Why are they passing on DaQuan Bowers?

Green Bay - Numerous reasons. Most prominently, although they needed some offensive linemen, I’m not familiar with this guy at all, and I don’t think that’s a good thing. Plus, he comes from a spread offense at Missouri State coached by Dan Mullen - this is all predicated on zone reads, which is good considering the Packers zone block. HOWEVER with Cullen Jenkins and/or Ryan Pickett not likely coming back they have a SERIOUS need at DE because they are not deep at all in that regard.

Lol, Bill is taking this trade down thing and to be honest the biggest difference the non patriots fan, like me, is starting to notice is how under sized the Pats are starting to become.

Trade down thing to far, I mean pats could have used help at rb, some corner size, some bigger wide outs, pats need some first round talent. Brady is fucking crying in interviews and the team is getting way undersized.

Packer pick was cited several places going as high as 15ish. Fits what the Pack does perfectly.

I disagree on Pack needing dline help. John Jolly and Mike Neal both coming back and neither was with team last year. Neal is 310 ish and played great b4 injury. Jolly is listed 320 but he’s bigger and was a good player before he got caught w codiene. If Vick is back jolly will be back.

Atl still stupidest day one draft ever. Great wideout or not their ass got stomped out of the play offs 48-21. They made that move like they needed one more piece for a ring. Thought they were a run first team? Lol

God,im excited for next season. Watt looks like a machine. GG Houston!

Steelers made a good pick too. Stayed the course and put a big body on the dline. Funny how the consistent franchises rarely make big dramatic draft moves. Make a board and pick the best player on it.

Browns clearly first round winners, got extra picks from atlantas stupidity and still added a complete beast to the dline.

Detroit second best.

Carolina made no sense, just pick up vince young, unlike cam he played a pretty good title game and they still could have taken a freak dline man or the crazy olb Denver took.

He never took a play off at WI and I watch a lot of WI football.

Houston doesn’t make the play offs w those offensive weapons and this pick then something has gone wrong…

Houston we have a problem!!! Type wrong.

Fuck I love the nfl.

If these fuckn owners stop the game over money I’m not coming back.

Is it just me or does anyone else see Cam Newton as what would happen if Ryan Leaf and Vince Young had a baby? The kid has “Bust” written all over him.

I wonder whoses picking up Ryan Mallett. Would be cool to see him go to the Vikings but whatever.

Ha! I posted in the NFL Draft thread a couple of months ago saying Cam Newton should be picked no. 1. Some were even adamant he wasn’t even the best qb of the draft. Just wanted to address the Cam haters out there, of which I assume there a quite a few. That is all.

I’m excited for the Prince. After what the egirls did to us last year we needed someone that can run with Jackson. You just have to take a player that highly rated or you end with a roster full of lesser talent.

Atlanta is clueless!

Who are the best remaining OL(any position)/LB/RB ???

Just because he was picked number one doesn’t mean anything has changed or been proven. The ‘haters’ can only be addressed after he’s started a couple games.

Sorry for being MIA yesterday, I think I blew a gasket after the 49ers pick. Didn’t love it, but we’ll just have to wait and see how it pans out. Some say Aldion Smith could be the next Ware, wouldn’t that be nice.

I was just weirded out that we spent another first round pick on an A. Smith.

Come on now.

^I was thinking the same thing. I’m not real familiar w/this cat Smith. They pretty much had the pick of the litter outside of Peterson. Only time will tell.

As for the Atl. move. I think it was ridiculous. Way to much to give up for a WR. To give all that up to imitate GB is/was not the smartest move.

Thought the Redskins played it smart. Get the 41st & the 49, I think. They have quite a few hole to fill. Good start for them.

& freakin Det. Who in the hell is going to run on that front? Not sure it was the smartest move, but was definitely a big splash of a move.

As for the Jets… I am really not familiar w/the A-10 league. Def. will have to check vid on this Muhammed cat.

Printski - Thie guy seems like he will be the Heir Apparent to Shaun Ellis IMO. can play both NT and End, good at the run and pass rushing, and he is a local guy. I was reading that they believe he can be like Trevor Pryce in his prime.

The Jets may not have a second rounder but they have 6 more picks this year, I hope they can trade up and get Brooks Reed.

Its nice to put a face to a name…I have been getting E-mails from a Nigerian Prince Amukamara for years now, he always wants me to wire him some cash and in turn he will GIVE ME MILLIONS! NOW I know hes legit…IM RICH!

Seriously, lotsa Dez Bryant and Prince matchups in the future.

Cleveland ass raped the dirty birds.

Williams and Watt = NASTY

Yea that was insane, unless they win a 'Bowl, then it becomes genius.

I just wish the 49ers could have made that trade haul. COME ON.

Should be interesting to see where the QB’s go today with Mallet, Dalton, and Kapernick still on the board.

I’d like Dalton or Stanzi, or a cornerback.

^HAHAHAHAHHAHA… Matty!!! That shit was high-larry-us.

I’m gonna have to take your word on the Muslim. You being local and all. Do you think he’ll get more time at NT? I wish they would bring Jenks back to tutor the kid. & yeah, 6 picks is a lot. With Tanny you just never know what he might try to pull off.

Oh? & one more LULZ… for getting rich.

Do you think the niners will go after a QB in the 2nd?

The rumor I did read is that Aldon Smith is gonna be traded to the Eagles for Kolb, how would you feel about that?
