And boom out of nowhere here come the Chiefs. We have the best pure pass rusher in the NFL, the most explosive runner, a WR who can be great but usually doesnt show up on the big day, a defense line which is one player from being elite, a talented O line and good coaching. Don’t sleep on the Chiefs. And the Raiders will be shite again.
This is the year that Cassel has to come out, he has to show he is in the top 10 of the league if he can do that then the Chiefs can make some noise in the playoffs.
Nothing like the assured bravado of a drunk post. I usually like to downplay my teams chances so as not to jinx anything. To be honest looking at our schedule I don’t like our chances of making the playoffs. A lot of tough road games. Still I’d give us about a 40% chance.
You guys are on the right track IMO, solid all around. The NFL now is all about the QB, that is what is going to make or break you once you have all the other pieces in place.

The chicago tribune reported today that the hall of fame game will not be played this year.

Bad press for the players for sure. D Smith is being a little punk and “we are not working on their timeline”. He has been sitting on this to prove some fucking point. Losing pre-season games doesnt bother me as much as losing FA and Camp.

at least half of the cba agreement is done (owners approved yesterday) now its up to the players…

I hope D Smith gets herpes and a fungal infection on his ball sack.

I just got done setting up the 2011 Testosterone Nation Fantasy Football League and bumped the Fantasy Football thread.

Last year was an awesome first year, and I know year two will be that much better.

If your interested, PM me your email. Cost per team was $20 per person, but we can vote on increasing that if we want.

How’s everyone doing? Weekend plans?

gonna be another day of over 100 in NYC…going to the gym and bunkering down at home for today…tomorrow softball playoffs…YES!

Kind of like he pulled out of the playoff game last year. Hahahahahahaaha sorry not what we normally post just couldnt help myself.

ESPN is showing a “Breaking News” section about the lockout basically being lifted and that football will start tomorrow (with free agency)

The live press conference is on now.

They showed a bunch of highlight clips from games last year… and I got a boner. It was awesome.

Football if officially BACK!!!

Yes cant see any video at work. Greg tell me a story… you doing the fantasy football this year?

I dont know about the FF. I’ve only done it one time (last year with my brother) and i was awful at it. I had a horrible draft strategy and ended up screwed hahaha.

Even better for you to join.
Some reason NFL.com video comes through server at work, so I am actually watching the Press conference.

Yes! Cannot wait for free agency etc. Even the prospect of training camp seems exciting at this point.

DJ these are happy times. I didnt like her anyways, me and JC had a nice sit down i called her the c word and he decided if i didnt approve he couldnt go through with it.

CANNOT wait for the madness to begin.

I shed a little tear of joy today.

The earth is now back on it’s proper axis.

Too bad rookies, no more chest of gold right out of college.

First order off bidness for Pittsburgh is to sign Ike Taylor.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the teams deal with the new cap system, maximum and minimum.
That notorious cheap fuck owner in Cincy is going to have a coronary lol.

I believe Tampa Bay is also going to have to get used to spending cash.

Nnamdi supposedly headed to Houston or Tampa Bay… interesting. Tampa could use a corner, especially because of the Talib incident(s). Houston can definitely use one, too, haha. I think it’s a great fit between either of these teams - I LOVE what Houston but I also have a fanboy boner for the 3-4.

But seriously, how about those Packers?

I bet nnamdi heads to Houston and I also hope he does. Im not a Texan fan but I would love to see them get some help and become some sort of competition. As far as the Packs, I cant wait to see whats in store. Damn Im just pumped for the whole NFL season!

Sidenote- Where the hell did this speculation come from that Houston is interested in Vince Young? That seems bizarre and I dont think he really fits into their system.

49ers make the first signing, taking the top rated unsigned rookie prospect as ranked by ESPN. Ian Williams, NT out of Notre Dame. Great fit, seeing as Franklin will be allowed to walk.

We’re also looking at undrafted rookie Mark Herzlich, who I think would be a great signing as well

I haven’t heard this, but I wouldn’t be surprised. He’s from Houston, they love him there. I loathe VY as a starting quarterback, but I can get down with him as a back-up. I reckon he’d figure out the system quickly enough and tweak it in his own way. (FWIW, I actually quite loathe VY, haha, so I can’t believe I’m saying that.)

Whoever signs this guy is getting a HUGE value, for real. I think he’ll be a good player.
