Kapernick is not a drop-back passer, there is no point in putting him in that style of offense.

He looks very uncomfortable in the pocket, he is a scrambling QB that should be doing playaction passes, bootlegs, and plays where he rolls out.

His ability means you need nickelbacks in the game, which makes Gore’s running game better.

This is more of Harbaugh’s fault than anything else, he has the wrong offense for his personnel.
I agree but they have decided to not establish the run at all for whatever reason. Kap is good, not great, but without fear of Gore running the ball he wont be able to do anything this year unless they are able to flood the secondary with all pro pass catchers (which most of them are hurt). I do not understand only handing it to him 11 times when he was averaging 7.5 yards a carry.
Some of the problem is that their egos are a bit inflated. I would think after the last 2 weeks they’ll be brought back down. I like Bolden, but w/Davis out, they just don’t have the long ball threat. I’d think they would use Williams a bit more in that role. I’m not 49’r fan so don’t know the reason. Kap is fine, it’s what, his 9th- 10th game. Gonna be some ups & downs.

They definitely have to give Gore more touches. If not Gore at least a running back!

I feel like this is a mirror of what is happening in Washington. Except tack on that our QB doesn’t give off the threat to run as much as he was and we have a run game that is struggling (lead the league in rush last year remember) and forcing RG3 to throw 50 times a game…

I haven’t much of the Redskins this year but I have to say, I was wondering where Morris has been this year.

The other problem w/ Kap is the same as RG, no read-option for the def. to be afraid of.

He can’t get moving because they don’t have to worry so much about containing RG3. Plus they seem to be fond of playing catch up.

I imagine that will change as RG3 get’s more comfortable (the clips I’ve seen against the Lions looked more and more like rookie RG3). I think it is interesting to watch how just 1 man can adjust an entire team like that…

Josh Gordon looked really good in his first game back for my Browns. I know we barely beat a fellow bottom-feeding team in the Vikings, but with him on the field we actually appear to have a suitable receiving core again.
Sunday’s win caps a week of speculation that Trent Richardson wouldn’t be the last player shipped away as the front office accumulates draft picks. Responding to a report that Josh Gordon is on the block, Chudzinski said there are no plans to trade the explosive pass-catcher. Asked if fellow receiver Greg Little could be dealt, Chud emphasized, “We have no plans on any trades.”
Looks like they already have an offer on the table for Gordon…

Yea heard that this morning.
I will cry if they trade him. T-Rich I could actually rationalize, but not Gordon.

It is the Browns though…

What these type of guys (Kapernick and RG3) need to realize is, that whole “running around and hoping to make shit happen” is not going to win you games in the NFL because the difference in speed and skill is much less than at the high school and college level.

The idea that a mediocre QB will win, by simply scrambling over and over is not going to work in the long run. He ends up taking too many hits, defenses can easily adjust to it, and the opposing players are still fast as shit.

I would take a Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck WAY before Michael Vick, RG3, or Kapernick.

Peyton is going to perform fucking surgery tonight against the Chokeland Traitors.

You cannot run the option when you have no receivers worth a damn.

Having threatening receivers means the opposing team must respect the deep ball, and play back to defend that.

But when there are none, they can play up with nickel backs, play press coverage, man coverage, or bump-n-run, and put 8 in the box.

I can’t believe i’m rooting for the Raiders in this game.

Pats look not very good this year.
2-0 is nothing to be mad about but squeeking out wins against the Bills and Jets who are both starting questionable rookie QB’s doesn’t boad well for the outlook of their season.

I feel bad for Brady.
He has no one to throw the ball to and even when he puts it right in their hands it’s a 50/50 chance for a drop lol
Poor Tommy.

This weeks Manning Bowl and SF vs SEA games could really set the tone for the rest of the season.
Washington and Green Bay is the most intriguinging matchup of winless teams IMO.
Fins actually have a chance to take the division this year. Their schedule is rough but if they can get out of the next 4 games with 1-2 wins it should interesting.

Curious to see what the pats look like playing a team that is a cellar dwellar.
So am I allowed to drink the Kool-aid yet? Can’t wait for MNF next week,

If they beat NO in NO then yeah I would stock up on Kool-Aid

Chokeland is getting beaten like a red-headed stepchild.

Whoa there partner

DB has decided Kap can do it all.

Did you not get the memo?

We may need you to move your desk down to the basement…yea…
He’s looked like shit the last two games. It isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Every QB who has ever played the game has looked like in two consecutive games at some point in their careers, even more so when they had less than a year’s worth of starts under their belt.

The issue isn’t with Kaepernick, it’s with the motherfucking receivers on that team. I was at the game on Sunday, just like every other Sunday, and I spent most of the time the Niners were on offense watching their receivers run routes, if that’s what you want to call it.

They look like they don’t even give a shit. The minute they finish the top of their route and turn for the ball they simply quit if it isn’t coming their way. They aren’t getting any separation at all and none of them outside of Boldin are even remotely big enough to beat press-man coverage on a consistent basis. So Kaepernick is doing what pretty much every single uber-talented QB in the history of the NFL has done at some point: forced the ball into tight spots trying to make something happen. He throws so fucking hard that when he’s fit it into tight spots where someone might be able to make a play, it’s going too fast to be handled. The guy needs to improve his touch on short throws and he also needs to understand that not one single receiver on the team outside of Boldin has good enough hands to catch his passes when he rifles them downfield more than he should be.

Stupid penalties, regressive play from the OL and the mind-boggling abandonment of the running game are all more to blame for their struggles than Kaepernick.

You guys all lambasted me over and over and over for declaring him the next Big Thing after 10 starts. I suggest some of you follow your own advice and reserve the “overrated” comments until he’s played more than 2 awful games. If this shit continues through the rest of the first half and he doesn’t make some needed adjustments, have at it. But until then, let’s just settle down with all the overreactions. Pretty much every team over the last 20-30 years that has won the Super Bowl has looked like shit at some point in the season. I’m just glad it’s happening to the Niners now instead of in December. There’s a lot of football to play.

And I laugh at the notion that Kaepernick isn’t a drop-back passer. You simply haven’t watched him play at all if that’s what you think. Other than the Green Bay game, which it seems is the only game of his that most of you have watched, he’s beaten every single team he’s started against almost exclusively from the pocket. The Green Bay playoff game was an aberration, as are these last two performances. The guy is a pocket passer. He hasn’t looked comfortable the last two weeks in the pocket. So what? Show me one QB who never looked antsy in the pocket at one point in his career and I’ll show you a fucking tackling dummy and not a QB.

Sooooooo…how bout them Stillers?

Fuck.

Also, Peyton Manning is apparently going to break every passing record this season. Holy shit Denver looks ridiculous.

Last time I remember Pittsburgh this bad Mark Malone was the QB lol. I’m finding it difficult to really get down about it, it feels weird, I should be livid but I’m not.

Yeah I have too many things on my plate to worry about it, and man am I glad. 10 years ago I would have been a basket case.

Oh I see how it is… you guys finally have a bad season and you ain’t even mad bro? It’s like you’ve been successful before and are confident you will be successful again… PFFT.

Seriously though I gotta get my shots in while I can, I hope you understand. It’s from a place of love.

Even though they were severely over matched, I came away being a fan of Pryor, he impressed me, had a nice touch and strong arm, obviously has legs. If the Raiders had any weapons he can really be a QB to build around.
