Oh snap! I’m happy about this now. I was still wanting us to have a WR1 on this team and there was no way to do that with our draft position. Now we can focus on the line and parts of the D that haven’t been shored up yet this year. I am very impressed with the Redskins at this point.
Any worries about the OLine or the Defense?
Ryan Clark, Jason Hatcher, and Tracy Porter are decent pickups on the defensive side. They also picked up a couple ILB’s and resigned Orakpo. I think Porter should be legit especially teamed up with Hall. I think they put some talented pieces in play, just have to see how they mesh.
Yea, like he mentioned, they added a couple LB like Akeem Jordan. Our defense is starting to come together a bit. Still need to fill out some of the secondary problems but I think we can shore up some of that and the OL in the draft hopefully. I don’t think our OL is going to be as bad as people are expecting and with some actual legit threat WRs I think teams won’t be so quick to stack the box.

Like I said, this is probably the most impressive FA period for us in recent memory. I am really excited to see how it pays off.

My thoughts on the Broncos.

Not a fan.

They had some soul to them when Mecklenburg and Steve Atwater were ringing bells. Now, they seem way to corporate and buttoned up.

They’re the baseball St. Louis Cardinals of the NFL. Fan base is now way too stuck up and vanilla, and I don’t like that Decker is gone. They went from a wild-style hang it all out there style of play to a regimented and low risk approach in a few short years and I don’t dig it one bit. Say what you will but Tebows miracle to D Thomas in the playoffs against sixburg was a top 10 football moment in the last decade. And now, there’s Omaha and Poppa Johns. pfffffft.

Thank the good guy upstairs they didn’t win the SB and got scoured by a style of football I like to see, or else the whole NFL would have turned cheesy. The AFC West (and I hate to say it) needs the Raiders to get good and nasty again. Glimmers of hope w the Chiefs and Chargers too. We’ll see.

But as of today, I don’t want to see the Broncos get anywhere near 8 wins without some hard attrition because the rest of the west is sick of the Bronco golden boy and have vowed to whomever is their god to remove all hope from Denver getting a sniff at the playoffs again.

they have to play the AFC East and NFC West so that’s gonna be a few losses.

What is your rational about that?

He can make every throw. He can elude like crazy. And he has “It”. If I were the Texans he would go number 1. I think he is going to be a stud.
He’s just another great college QB who will flame out in the NFL. The guy played behind the best offensive line in football the last two years, and he STILL had the tendency to take off and run at the slightest hint of pressure.

With that sort of tendency, he’s fucked in the NFL. He’s not big enough to get away with any of that. He’s relied on pure athleticism his whole career, but in the NFL that doesn’t really work. He has by far the least pocket presence of all the top QB’s in this draft. I think his production level when all is said and done won’t warrant a first-round pick, even if it’s the 32nd pick.
Agreed
1. Playing behind a good OL means he’s HEALTHY.
 2. When he takes off and runs he’s already at high RPM’s. He can scoot.
 3. He’s being heavily coached in pocket presence.

I’m not saying he’ll change the NFL landscape and be a superstar, I think he’s got a fighting chance.

The guy who I believe is the gamechanger right now? Andrew Luck. He’s the new template QB that everyone drools for.

Yeah, the kid has the potential to go down as one of the greatest. Big bodied, strong kid, very intelligent pocket passer that is very athletic as well. There may be one of those kids every 10-15 years if that so yeah, probably should drool over him ha

I think Russell Wilson is trying to become a very similar type player to Luck, and doing a pretty good job of it too, I might add.

I think nowadays, after being in the league a couple years, linebackers probably just quit their pursuit if they see Wilson roll left. Because he’s going to sling one speedy and low to a receiver nearly falling out of bounds. He’s a surgeon.

2 year deal signed yesterday. I think it will be interesting to see what he can do there.

I think it will be great. Marty using him as he did Shady. His body won’t get beat up sharing carries either, win/win.

& as I look into my crystal ball, I see Vick starting. 2 fast, dynamic players. W/Vick’s ability to roll out, it allows the backside to open for Johnson.Could be an explosive offense depending on what wide out they take in the draft.

Looking back on Idzick and what he has proven himself to be with regards to signing FA, I have to say I am pleased. Arguably he signed the best WR available and RB available, and a proven talent in Vick. Like print has said his methodical approach and maybe creating a winner via the draft is really how the best franchizes do it so…I’m all in.

Ive never been a CJ fan, for me he dances too much…HOWEVER in this situation his ability to catch the ball and be the type who can break it to the house coupled with Ivory’s brusining run you over approach I am really excited about it.

They still have what has to be one of the shittiest secondaries in the league So I am pretty sure they go CB or safety in the first round. I would be surprised if they went offense at this point.

just ordered my Sanchez Eagles jersey BTW

lol
