Blount will be a good fit in Pitt

If he keeps his shit together that town will go nuts over him. Love those big punishing backs. He’ll have a nickname in no time.

Eagles cut Desean Jackson. Can someone explain this to me? Why cut this guy? I can’t believe the possible “gang” tie in would lead to just cutting this guy. I’m still not sure how I would feel if the Skins grabbed him…

I doubt that. Having two wide receivers with attitude problems on the same team.

My guess is that he might go to the Chiefs because of Andy Reid or possibly the Raiders since they have a ton of cap space and love those guys with the me first attitude.

Not sure how true it is that he has gang ties, but I still think the Eagles could have at least got a late draft pick out of it rather than nothing. The Eagles offense will take a hit from losing him.
I changed my tune. Having DJax,Garçon, and Roberts with Reid and Almo would be nuts. I think it would be similar speed/power wise to Philly when Vick first came in. He is set to come for talks tomorrow. Interesting to see how that goes- we are only ~$7mil under cap

True, it would help the team. I still think Chiefs and Raiders are front runners. Raiders have a lot of money to throw at him.

What is your rational about that?
He can make every throw. He can elude like crazy. And he has “It”. If I were the Texans he would go number 1. I think he is going to be a stud.
He’s just another great college QB who will flame out in the NFL. The guy played behind the best offensive line in football the last two years, and he STILL had the tendency to take off and run at the slightest hint of pressure.

With that sort of tendency, he’s fucked in the NFL. He’s not big enough to get away with any of that. He’s relied on pure athleticism his whole career, but in the NFL that doesn’t really work. He has by far the least pocket presence of all the top QB’s in this draft. I think his production level when all is said and done won’t warrant a first-round pick, even if it’s the 32nd pick.

I agree that he wont get away with everything he did in college in the NFL. He just needs to slide or get out of bounds. We will obviously have to wait and see. But, this dude has everything I would be looking for in a QB. Except height. But, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson? This guy is going to be special.

Brees and Wilson have perhaps the most underrated quality necessary in a professional athlete. Humility. Manziel has none. I always wonder about guys like him who have literally never faced serious adversity anywhere in their lives.

Sounds like another QB in the NFL, I think he was in ESPN the magazines body issue…

On a related note can we have Boldin back, pleasssseeeeee?

I would love to see DJax go to Arizona. Him opposite Fitzgerald would be brutal. I like DJax for some reason. I think the gang stuff is probably overblown (but who really knows) and is more a PR move on the Eagles part than anything.

he won’t get the money he wants in AZ. he’ll go for the $ instead of the ring and be a Raider or Redskin.

Oh I agree with that. Still would like to see him end up on a team where he could play that No.2 spot. The Lions or Bengals would be good also.

How does this make you feel, sir? I imagine this is actually a scary prospect for the fellow NFC East teams. He’s not a WR1 that puts up crap numbers like the NYG guys. And he’s going to a team that seems to have all the right offensive weapons in place to have him.

We have faced him twice a year already and torched us more than once. But with Dallas having the worst Defense of all time that is not an amazing feat.

Skins have Oline (changing from zone read to conventional blocking) and Defense issues. They are starting to put some things in place, but still think they are a few years away.

Will be interesting to see what Gruden can do.

Oh snap! I’m happy about this now. I was still wanting us to have a WR1 on this team and there was no way to do that with our draft position. Now we can focus on the line and parts of the D that haven’t been shored up yet this year. I am very impressed with the Redskins at this point.

Have fun with that douche bag…

And with a new coach O_0

Any worries about the OLine or the Defense?

Ryan Clark, Jason Hatcher, and Tracy Porter are decent pickups on the defensive side. They also picked up a couple ILB’s and resigned Orakpo. I think Porter should be legit especially teamed up with Hall. I think they put some talented pieces in play, just have to see how they mesh.
