I think this has been a good off season for a lot of teams so far. I think the Skins are doing things right. I also think we are going to see a good Cleveland Browns team. QB is still a concern but they added Ben Tate at RB and now Andrew Hawkins as WR2 or 3. I think if Hoyer starts and plays out the season they will do well. I also think they could make the right choice during the draft with 2 1st rounders.
my Cards just picked up Cromartie on a 1 yr prove it deal. the NFC West just got a little tougher.
this is definitely going to be an interesting draft with some of the moves going on this FA period.

Pfff the browns… (Damn it they better not get any better)
Who do you guys think will be the big steals in the draft and who will be busts??
I think Jarvis Landry could easily turn out to be a huge asset for whoever gets him and I look for him to go low as he flopped in the combine. I think most of the QB’s in this draft will end up being looked at as terrible choices, Blake Bortles being the possible exception. I am routing for Bridgewater, though. McCarron may go low enough that he couldn’t possibly be looked at as a “terrible” choice.

Bortles had a great pro day and is coming out of a system that was more pro ready.
McCarron will end up being the best IF he goes to the right team in regards to coach and organization.
Nobody can be successful at the Raiders or Browns right now.

Why do you say that about the Browns? They have one of the top WR in the game, just added another decent one, have a good TE, and their line has 2 Pro Bowlers. Add in Ben Tate and possibly another addition (CJ2K?!) and that team is going to be looking good. They grab a good OL guy and roll with Hoyer or possibly pickup a QB in the draft and I think you will be singing a different tune…

Cause they will draft Johnny Football, he will bust and they will be set back another 5 years. They have done this since Bernie Kozar. I dont know who ends up doing it but they draft busted QB’s more than any organization that I have ever seen.

I don’t really think that any QB would bust with the Browns. Josh Gordon about proved last year that it didn’t matter who was throwing him the ball (as long as that person wasn’t named Brandon Weeden, way to go Cowboys). With that said, Manziel will bust wherever he goes because he just is not built to play in the NFL nor does he possess the necessary skill set. He will get hurt his first season, mediocre second season, become a two or three year wandering backup (or Raiders starter) and be done.

So he will Tebow?
I hope the Browns get their shit straight, I want every team to be competitive. But they have made so many bad decisions with multiple different GMs and coaches. Now it has to be the owner and upper management, they just cant help but fuck things up.

Exactly. Only difference would have been, Tebow could have at least played in the NFL, just not QB.
Derek, being a 'Boys fan, can you please explain to me the Brandon Weeden decision?? I mean how do you look at the Browns third string QB and be like “yeah, lets take a chance on him”?

Fair enough. I’m hoping that we are seeing a change in how they do things. They have everything in place to make the right steps now.
Besides- that draft bust is now your backup QB!!!

I have no clue.
I believe JJ makes his decisions on the time of day.
Noon he has had only a few scotch on the rocks, by 5 PM we are fucked.
Weedon was a 7 pm decision.

late rd or UDFA steals
SC QB Conner Shaw - fast, smart, accurate. read option or dropback
SDak OLB Tyler Starr - will be a starter and I hope we draft him
K St OT Cornelius Lucas - 6’8" 316 former TE light feet with nasty attitude needs some work but definitely worth the risk.
Wsh St FB/WR/LB Vince Mayle - 6’2’ 240 4.54 40 former hs WR and BB(won dunk contests). great hands, good blocker, crossing pattern nightmare.
Lets move back the extra point to the 20 yardline for two preseason games and see what happens…
I know not NFL but interesting.
Would current players be able to sui for unpaid profit made off of them in college? Would RG3 Go back to college? VICK AND DECKER BABY YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!

Soooo… Does this all true with all college athletes or just the ones that make money? If all college athletes are considered employees then does that mean that colleges can cut programs that don’t make money for being ineffective empolyees? Also if the teams don’t win, does that mean that their paychecks can all be reduced because they aren’t performing their service adequately?

I don’t get all this Johnny Football is going to be a bust. I think he is going to be damn good
