NFL 2013 Part 3

The pick 6, I can see not being super upset about, the guy hit his arm, but when Thomas fumbled… Denver fans had to just breakdown and smash their TV’s at that point.
I think the Harvin return to open the second half was probably the point where I just completely went WTF?? And I still cant figure out where Mannings stat line came from completing 34-49 because it barely looked like they stayed on the field and it sure didn’t look like a 70% completion game. I really wanted Kam Chancellor to get the MVP.

It’s because every time he threw the ball it was about 2 yards down field!

It is because the Seahawks limited YAC. I think it was around like 3.5 for Denver. Denver runs a lot of short crossing routes and rely on YAC to provide the majority of their yardage. They finally went against a team that swarms the ball and can put big hits on big receivers. Chancellor laying the wood on Thomas set the tone for the defense. Denver receivers never had a chance to go anywhere after getting the ball.

Thanks DB! I appreciate the sentiment.

And when he did have room he decided to keep it east and west to try to break it. It took him till way to late to realize that he had to get north and south in a hurry and just stick his nose in there for those few extra yards and grind it out one down at a time.

How many more years do the Seahawks have before they lose a lot of theses guys to free agency?

Looks like Denver has better weed, dem fuckers looked like they were barely alive.

Wilson gets a raise to $850k next year and has another year after that. Tate, Baldwin (restricted), and Bennett are free agents.

If they keep that defense together they have a shot to win 1 or 2 more

That plus the receivers on Denver are not physical at all.

Picks for the SB?

Let the mayhem begin!

Like I mentioned before I’m in a real quandary as to who to root for. Been a Broncos fan since the early '80’s (same with 49er’s). Became a Seahawks fan too about 10 years ago when I moved to the n.w. corner of MT and started spending some time in WA.

Best offense vs best defense. This is going to be tough to pick.
Easy pick. Seattle.
Said in my most pompous Will Ryker voice.

Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure that within the next two years Sherman, Chancellor, Baldwin, Wilson, Thomas, Bennett, Irvin, and a couple others will all be free agents. And they’re already paying a shitload of cash to Harvin, who, as great as he looked yesterday, simply has not provided any reason at all to think he’ll be on the field for more than 10 games a year.

I think Lynch is signed for awhile, but he’ll be 30 in 2 years. I hate to admit it, but I REALLY like Lynch, too. But I suspect that he is the type of back that will fall off pretty quickly, similar to a guy like Shaun Alexander. I’ve never seen a tougher runner, and I’ve been watching Frank Gore his whole career, but guys who invite contact like Lynch does usually see all those accumulated hits start to take a toll pretty quickly.

That makes me just giddy, in a Rob Lowe/Parks and Rec sorta giddy.

Alexander was a very good back, but he wasn’t a great one, IMO. He got almost all his yards right behind Jones and Hutchinson in 05, and when they didn’t pay Hutchinson in 06, Alexander didn’t do shit–not even a 900 yard season in 06.

Apparently the Broncos fans drowned their sorrows after the game with some good old masturbation.

I disagree, besides Welker the other receivers are big and physical off the line.

I dunno. There have been several times throughout the season that I though they could have fought there way back to the ball but played for the penalty and were content to remain out of position. Decker seems to be the worst at this although Thomas has his moments as well.

Yup. I don’t see Decker being on the team next year. I think some team will offer him more money than he is worth and he won’t live up to it.
