It’s hard for a team, even a team with the best offense in the game, to get it going when another team is opening up a can of whip-ass on them.

Because the AFC, Denver, and Manning in particular, are beyond overrated. The top four teams in the NFC could have handed down a similar beatdown. All the bullshit about Manning is absolutely nauseating. He puts up insane numbers in a league that, by design, allows for huge numbers.
But the game is played to win, and Manning simply isn’t a winner. He’s a fucking loser in the postseason, and when it comes to the great QBs, the ONLY measuring stick is how well they play in the postseason. Manning falls FAR short of the other great QBs in that respect; I’d take Brady over Manning without a second thought, and it’s games like this one today that should embarrass anyone who has ever used Manning and Montana in the same sentence. Montana played a #1-ranked defense in the Super Bowl once. He put 55 points on the board. Manning put up 8.
Denver looked flat, Seattle looked fired up, but I don’t think Denver would have had a chance no matter how well they played. Manning simply isn’t that good and has feasted on a lot of poor defenses. He’s shriveled up in the face of every good defense he’s faced. That Chicago defense he beat in the Super Bowl was decent, but the fact that he had to outduel Rex fucking Grossman completely negates any lasting impact on his legacy that game might have had.
He does all this bullshit gesticulating and waving around and the histrionics and all that other shit that’s part of the plan. But like Mike Tyson said, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. And when Manning gets punched in the mouth he runs away crying for Archie and a slice of Papa John’s. Fuck him and all the canonizing of the guy. He’s a great QB, but I can think of at least 6 other QBs that I’d take in a big game over him (Montana, Starr, Brady, Warner, Aikman, Rodgers, maybe even Unitas or Steve Young)

Because they ran into the Seattle Fucking Seahawks.

And that’s the bottom line.

Either way, Seattle doesn’t score more than 24 on their best day (assuming the Denver D doesn’t just shit their pants.)
I’d hate to be Denver’s laundry lady tonight.

Welcome to the club. Win a few more and you’ll actually be rooting for a franchise with legitimate success.

Shit DB, they’re the youngest team in the league, they’re going to win at least 7 home games next year and the road to the NFC championship is almost certain to be going thru Seattle. They might just have themselves a dynasty a lot sooner than you think.
The bright side about next season is guaranteed smash mouth football between the Niners and Seahawks.
Hey, have you heard if they made that new stadium to be every bit as loud as Seattle’s?

No, they didn’t. They just make the fans louder down here. In the Championship Game, the stadium hit as high as 108 decibels. Candlestick Park regularly registers in the high 90’s during big games, so I assume that they’d regularly hit 108 if they were all up in Seattle.
Crowd noise is a bit overrated. Seattle wasn’t that tough a place to play at all when they sucked cock. Don’t forget, a LOT of these players regularly played in front of 100,000 fans in college.
Just…can’t…stop…my…self (Said like William Shatner playing Captain Kirk)

With some exceptions great defenses win Super Bowls. That’s just the way it’s always been and I’ve seen every one since the late 960’s.
Picks for the SB?
Best offense vs best defense. This is going to be tough to pick.
We’ll my hats off to the Seahawks, they played mistake free ball which wins games.
We just had a feeling at my house once that balled sailed over Mannings head for a safety that it was going to be a rough night.
What a joke of a game. I can’t imagine anybody thought they game would have been that much of a blowout. Denver looked lost during the whole game. As a football fan who didn’t really care who won, that was one of the worst super bowls I have watched. Worse than the ass raping the Bucs put on the Raiders in 2001. Vegas sure had those odds right, lol.
Not gonna score 30, shiiittttttttt.

You and me both Beans.
Who would have thought Denver would shit the bed after the season they had.

I 2nd this. And to top it off, that fucking TD with 2 sec left in the 3rd cost me a good chunk of money.

I had a hunch it was possible for Manning to not play his best, but the whole damn team, outside of the Denver run D, just completely shit in their hat and ate it.
I’m not taking anything away from Seattle, the Hawks really put them in the corner for most of the night, no doubt, but for the center, on the first play, to snap the ball into the endzone… Denver just looked like lost puppies out there in a cage with wolves.
The pick 6, I can see not being super upset about, the guy hit his arm, but when Thomas fumbled… Denver fans had to just breakdown and smash their TV’s at that point.
