Supposedly the ref said after the game that they saw it but that the ball hadn’t been spotted yet so it wasn’t a penalty.
That was his explination when interviewed after the game.

By the way, Gregron, what’s the over/under on Sherman pics?

I take the under. Harbaugh is already working the refs. Sherman will have at least 3 penalty flags thrown for his holding/PI ;)
That’s easy then, I’ll take the over. I’ve also got the over/under for # of times Harbaugh cries like a whiny bitch at 762. I’ll take the over on that also.

I’ll be here Sunday waiting for your apology and to admit you were completely wrong

If you are up near SeaTown on game day come over and I’ll cook you a steak. And I’ll either taunt you mercilessly or apologize profusely as the situation warrants.

That isn’t supposed to matter I didn’t think. You are not supposed to be allowed 12 in the huddle at any point. I saw that the ref was preoccupied with some other procedural stuff (declaring eligible recievers) but when the guy took off he should have realized it. It wasn’t the ref crew from the Panthers-Patriots game was it?

I don’t think you can pin this all on Cam. He’s not the whole team. You have to give the SF defense credit for stopping 2 goal line stands. Missing one you can potentially get away with, but two is a game ender. I think the first one should have been a run to the outside, rather than a sneak, it was too far for a sneak. Oline also has to make plays in this situation and they didn’t. Your QB can’t be your leading rusher, even if he is a runner.
Defense also went to sleep after the 1rst quarter.

The refs had an impact on the game. There were quite a few missed/ bad calls that affected the game.
What’s up with the Lions? Something other than the location must be fucked for no coach to jump in what is arguably one of the most stacked teams in the league…
Looking forward to this weekends games. I don’t know who I want more in the NE/DEN game so that’s just more like a great watch. SEA/SF I’ll root SEA due to DB sucking Kaep’s taint in this thread all year as well as Kaep having small biceps to kiss. Plus Vernon Davis fucked me 1 too many times in Fantasy Football.

A huge heaping of the blame goes on Cam, no doubt.
He wilted. Plain and simple. Watch Cam in the first half and watch him in the second. He is not mentally strong and in classic Cam fashion he shut it down. I didn’t see the towel over his head but I’m sure it was there.
He got hit quite a few times and after that second goal line stand his confidence was shot. He was not even close to the same player in the second half.

Detroit hired Jim Caldwell.
Have fun with that.
Single worst hire of the season. Why was Caldwell really considered? He is a very average coach at best. I really thought Whisenhunt would have been a much better fit in Detroit than in Tennessee. I still think Chudzinski is a viable hire at HC and I think the Browns jumped ship way to early on him considering the hand he was dealt this season.

Because Flacco crushed in the playoffs last year. That is the only reason I’ve heard that makes any sense. The Ravens offense was disgustingly terrible this year.

Yeah, Cam did his classic mope. But that doesn’t mean he was solely responsible for the loss. The defense also went to sleep. It seems they expended all their energy in the first quarter and they forgot the protective schemes regarding the read-option. The lack of run game killed them as well as a really good SF defense. Cam did slump during the second half, but he did surge at the end, though to no avail. The Panthers did not control the line of scrimmage and that blame goes to the lines. The reffing was also horrific. The SF defense won that game, they were excellent, damn near error free.
The old adage applies that QB’s get to much of the blame or to much credit.
