NFL 2013 Part 2

I also thought this picture was funny.

Lol, I’m suprised they didn’t call a personal foul. The defense got awful close to Tom Brady, they could of givin him a booboo!

Heard of the “black people not amused with white people” meme? Because this is absolutely perfect.

Congrats Derek!! I’m actually pretty happy with the game since RG3 looked 10x better than he has the first 4 games. He needs to hone in his passes now and we should be much better. The truth is that we just got outplayed by a better team. Dallas has one of the more potent offenses, defense harassed RG3 all night (even though he made some great runs!), and D. Harris makes for an awesome returner.

I cannot wait for next season when we have some more cap space. Our special teams has been killing us for 2 years now- we continually have trouble giving our punter time to kick and now we can’t seem to stop anyone on their returns. I can’t wait until we can fix that up.

At this point, looking at the remaining schedule, I think we can finish out at 7-9 which I doubt will get us into the playoffs but should still make for exciting football.

Da man…
Peyton may have the stats, but he has an awesome team. Brady is doing without and getting it done. That was an incredible game by two very good teams. Well, 1 1/2 very good teams. Never give Brady a chance, he’ll take it and kick your ass.

I was watching with my dad and he left after the pick because he thought it was over. I went outside to tell him the Patriots won and he didn’t believe me, haha. I guess half the fans there didn’t believe they would win either because they left.[/quote]

After all this time, you’d think the fans would know better. It was a 4 point difference, how can you leave?

It’s nice to see RG3 getting back to form. If his receivers could catch, that would have been nice. He missed a few, but there were a lot of drops.

I want to comment on what I think was the first outright blatant game fixing I have seen. I think JAX actually had the potential to win against DEN but I whole-heartedly believe that there was something fishy going on. I can’t find a clip but if anyone saw during the game, Manning threw a short pass to I believe J. Thomas. A jags defender came up right behind him to the point that a tackle would have been EASY. Instead, he made absolutely no move to tackle and just backed off allowing for a 1st down. It was downright obvious that he had no intention of making that tackle.

Someone got the call that DEN is the NFL’s baby and they weren’t allowed to lose to likes of jacksonville.

I lost my tin foil hat somewhere in all the commotion last night too…

It wasn’t a hold, it was a hug.

There were blown calls for both teams.

lol…Love that image. That’s the face of a Tom Brady butt hurt.

Since it was on my BD was how we won

I am truly worried about our Dline. We have guys off the street. I just hope JJ understands that there are more positions than WR and RB.

RG is not healed that was pretty obvious, a lot of his throws are off and that has to do with his ability to plant.

It was a good showing by Dallas. They played well. Defense played much better in this game.

Dude, the announcers screwed Murray and your line. They had just got done talking about how healthy Murray was and how the line was tore up but the one tackle was playing great. Then they both got injured. Cursed sportscasters!

Lol, just one of many fixed games. Do you actually think the 07 NE Patriots could lose to the 07 Giants in the biggest game of every single players life?
Go back and look at the highlights/replays. Brady threw Moss a td pass in the endzone that Moss didn’t even put his hands out to catch…and the tyree reception made the above posters picture of the “blown call” look like a good play.

People are going to think some shit is fixed by the refs/behind the scenes, I get that(although I don’t agree with it at all). However, thinking that the players are in on it? That is some next level conspiracy theory shit going on. There is no fucking way players are in on a grand scheme of fixing games. MAYBE there is an absolutely tiny portion of individual players that have attempted to fix a game on their own for betting, maybe.

Anytime there is money and gambling involved, there’s a risk of fixing and player involvement with fixing. I suspect the modern NFL does a pretty good job keeping the game clean but there is absolutely no way to guarantee it.

I allowed for that ‘exception’ in my post. What I am saying is flat out impossible, is that there is an outright NFL-wide, players+refs+whoever else level of fixing going on as has been alluded by above posters.

Edit: To clarify using one of the specific example. Saying Randy Moss T-Rex armed a pass to lose on purpose to win some huge money is, while doubtful, a believable theory that can’t just immediately be shut down. Saying that Randy Moss did so on orders from on-high, in combination with refs not calling holding on the Giants, and then somehow Tyree getting a miracle catch(if that was fixed they made the play look immaculate because purposely doing that and risking the outcome you are trying to avoid is well, stupid as fuck and would make anyone believe it’s legit).

Its fucking football players, not Mensa members.

Ya, just ask Lance Armstrong. Hehe.

For the record, I don’t suspect large scale cheating or fixing, but small scale shaving or fixing wouldn’t surprise me at all if discovered. Its just not that hard to blackmail someone who is in a position to be blackmailed.
