First of all, who cares?
Secondly, I think that would be awesome! If he was gay and came out as gay it would shock so many people. Arguably the best player in the “manliest” sport out there was gay… It would be so sweet.

If its true my money is on Ryan Braun being his BF
Very happy to see Rex hold onto his job, as some of you know on here I never been a fan of his antics, but he has learned to still be confident and at times brash without looking like a horses ass.
As I said in the beginning of this thread I felt like this team could be a 500 team because of their defense, and they were.
Quite honestly I dont know if there was another team in the NFL that had less weapons on offense than the Jets. David Nelson…yes David Nelson to me was by far are best receiver. Chris Ivory looked good but is such a violent runner he aint never gonna stay healthy. He cracked his ribs in the last game of the year.
Im saying this now, the Jets got oodles of money to spend…you put some weapons on offense (Eric Decker, Sammy Watkins a Tight End?)
to give Geno some modicum of playmakers to throw to, this is an 11 - 12 win team.
oh and fuck you fish

LOL, you know I just couldnt hold back…
In all seriousness though, have you seen enough in Tannehill that you could win with him? Does the last 2 games make you doubt him?

I would have said the same thing had we won so I understand. It really was a good job by Rex this season. As much as I hate him he really dialed the antics down and coached.
I honestly do not know what to think of him anymore. At times he looks solid and other times he looks like complete shit. We all know he has a strong arm but he consistently overthrows wide receivers. I can give you multiple game winning/tying opportunities off the top of my head in which he overthrew either Hartline or Wallace (did not know overthrowing that speedster was possible). But again he has led some really good last minute drives.
He also has not been helped out by his offensive line. 50+ sacks or whatever the hell he ended up with. Part of that is him not throwing the ball away but a good chunk is the OG and OT situation. I want to say give him another year with a good line and another off season to workout timing with the receivers but part of me is also ready to give up on him.
Me dad and I were both hoping in the last two games that they would have thrown Matt Moore in there just to change things up. But with all that said he is our best option as of right now and I do not see us trying to get a QB this year with all of the other positions that need to be addressed.

I say he has the same problem as Geno, he is still lacking a #1 wide receiver and a security blanket TE.
Gotta admit I wanted Matt Moore on the Jets when he was a FA, he is one of the few excellent backup QBs in the league. Hes one of those guys that can spark a team…after the Buffalo game maybe it wouldn’t have been such a horrible idea. Moore is the backup, hes not an up and comer it may have been a different story.

Come Derek you cant compare Tannehills weapons (Hartline, Clay and Wallace) to the Jets (Kerley, Hill, Holmes) the jets receivers are infinitely worse

I disagree with this a bit. Geno has almost no offensive weapons (one receiver over 500 yards). Tannehill does. While he does not have the best receivers they are still better than the Jets. Hartline had over 1,000 and Wallace had 930. Gibson was playing pretty well prior to his injury and Matthews was playing pretty well after Gibson went down. Charles Clay has turned out to be a pretty good utility player. I wonder what will happen when Dustin Keller comes back.
BTW Matty, if y’all get some receivers and we get some offensive linemen, things could get very interesting in the division.

I liked Moore as a quarterback. He played pretty well with a lack of receivers on the team. I feel like he only lost the job because we wanted to prove the Tanny was the future.

Out of those three Wallace is a solid #2, the other two really? journeyman
Holmes is = to Wallace in my eyes. Now that I look at it I would say they are actually about the same.
I just hope the Bears fire their DC Mel Tucker.
But yes the Jets, if they get some offensive weapons they can be a playoff team easily next year. All depends on Geno’s development. Eric Decker sounds like a perfect fit, and they probably need a tight end if they don’t draft one. Jermichael Finley?

Wallace may demand some coverage over the top with his ability to break away with speed. Hartline then has some soft spots in the coverages/zones to catch, which he obviously did due to his route running.
But lets face it both of these teams WR core is not going to make a dent or threat against playoff teams. Which is evident since both are not in the playoffs.
Wallace and Holmes need a true #1 WR to really open up their strengths.
With the injury to Keller I would not put my hopes in him to be that Tony Gonzales TE in the future.

If Tanny knew how to throw to Wallace (and Hartline for that matter) the season would have been a lot different. He constantly overthrows him every time he burns a defender down field. I did not say Wallace was a #1 receiver but I do believe him and Hartline play nicely off each other. If Tanny could work shit out with them we would be fine. Our WR core is not my concern at the moment. To compare them to the Jets’ receiving core is ridiculous though.
And don’t worry I never had hopes Keller would be the Tony Gonzales TE ever. He is a pretty solid player though and with the emergence of Clay we might actually be able to run some two tight end sets.

Holmes didnt even play this year, 23 catches 450 yards 1 TD, Wallace at least plays, Hartline is a reliable possession receiver, Holmes based on ability can be a very good receiver, but hes a douche

Id kick the wheels on Finley, coming off serious injury maybe one of those LaRon Landry deals
