Seattle over Chiefs in the Superbowl. The two losses to Denver did more good for the Chiefs than any of the wins this year. I would have no fear of Indy or the Bengals, NE aren’t the same team without Gronk and its very hard for a team to beat a division rival three times in one year. Both losses to Denver where just a few plays from being wins, particularly in Arrowhead. If we get to play them again we will make those plays and win the game.
The Chiefs still have to win in San Diego!! Might be a shoot out.
Technically we don’t have to, as we a pretty firmly locked in the 5th seed, but it sure would be nice. I think it will be a good game, something like 30-24 Chiefs. Justin Houston will be back which is a major plus, we would never have lost in Arrowhead if him and Hali had not got injured. We were up 14-3 and rolling. But you can’t make excuses injuries happen. Chargers better than their record suggests. Hope they don’t sneak into playoffs.
Yup, can’t make injury excuses. You know how many o-lineman the Chargers have had to shuffle around this year? There was one game where there was only one starter playing because two guys were already out for the game and two others got hurt during it. Good teams find a way to win even when their players get hurt or are out.

I’m not trying to bag on the Chiefs are anything because I think they are a good team and I predicted they would do good this year, but they are overrated as to what their schedule says. They have beaten basically nobody unless you count the Cowboys and Eagles. The Eagles are a completely different team now than when the Chiefs played them before. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see the Chiefs beat out the Broncos in the playoffs, but they already had their chance twice and couldn’t do it either time. I just don’t think they can do it under Alex Smith.
The Bronco’s have faced almost the exact same strength of schedule as us, you can only play the team in front of you and as is shown every week, there are no easy wins. Cleveland nearly won in NE for example. Last year the only quality team the Broncos beat was the Ravens and at that time the Ravens were playing like dirt. They have had two years of easy schedules that no one ever talks about.

Alex Smith is no Peyton Manning but he will win you games and as he gets more comfortable in the offense he is improving rapidly. In the last four weeks he is averaging 212 yards a game, has thrown 9 TDs and only 2 INTS. Not amazing but pretty effective.

I honestly believe its very hard to beat a close rival 3 times in one year, we weren’ that far off the Broncos, particularly in Arrowhead. It would be tough and obv the Broncos would be hot favourites. Stranger things have happened though.
I’m just saying, the Chiefs had two chances to make a statement game against the Broncos and didn’t come through.
I fully understand what you are saying, anyone looking at it objectively without a pro KC bias would pick Denver. Just a personal hunch.
I’m with Red on this one.

I think the Chiefs are definitely capable of beating the broncos.

That D and run game will be tough for anyone. Like he said, it’s hard to beat any team 3 times in the same season… Especially a division foe.

I like Peyton and the broncos but have ZERO faith in them pullin out a big playoff win.

Hey anything can happen so you never know. Steelers did beat the Ravens three times in a season the last time they won the Super Bowl. Sometimes teams just have other teams number.

I feel a nice little avatar bet coming on between the both of you if those two teams meet in the playoffs.

“I want to be like Cam”

 • Most common NFL phrase of 2015-2022

Oh poor Derek lol

Michael Thomas…most unlikely hero of the week. Without taking a single practice snap with the Dolphins he made the two biggest defensive plays of perhaps our entire season. And he did it against one of the best 2-minute quarterbacks ever.

Jason Garrett needs to go. Why they decided to go to the air when the run game was working incredibly well is beyond me. The play calling in Dallas is horrendous.

And then there is Washington haha. I can appreciate going for 2 for the win. If they get it, “hey look how awesome Kirk is!!”, if they don’t “oh well, season is a bust and Kirk did really well anyway.” I’ve decided that I am an honorary St. Louis Rams fan for the next few years solely because my team has pretty much made their team awesome. If they play their cards right in the draft, and figure out what they want to do about Bradford, that team should be a force sooner rather than later. SF, SEA, ARI, and STL all in the same division is nuts. Going to be like the NFC East of years ago.

Dallas play calling and inability to stop the run literally cost me about $1200 of FF money. Derek, you can send it via PayPal to make amends…

I’m pretty sure the punter for the Bengals was murdered on the field last night…

For those who did not see it

Holy crap. If he wasn’t murdered, he sure as shit has a very tender neck and/or jaw today…

His jaw is broken.

Damn. Was there a flag?

Nope, it was a touch down too.

I’d like to call this a “great hit” because it was. The fact it was killing a fucking punter though… I mean, come on, the punter?

That is like slapping an old woman at Thanksgiving dinner.

So in general, I feel “eh” about it, when if it was a d-back or lineman, I would be all like “oh hell yeah, what a great hit.”

The punter? Really? lol

Pretty much the definition of targeting a defenseless player.

Lead with the head? Check
Launch with the crown of your helmet? Check
Helmet to helmet contact? Check
Defenseless player? It’s a kicker… So CHECK

Beans, your team let me down man. I’ve rooted for Tom Brady all of once in my life and he let me down… Miami, come on man!

haha, what can I say? The Pat defense, who looked promising, has been destroyed by injury…

They were talking on the radio and Brady has something like 5 or 6 losses in December in his career, and 4 of them are Miami… lol Don’t remember the actual numbers, but the point being, never bet on the Pats in Miami, always a tough game.

Well they better lose in Baltimore next week too >_<

Eh… That is a 50/50 shot at this point. Pats dont’ seem to make the same mistakes twice, but The Eagle should be able to pick them apart, and Rice have a field day.

If the Baltimore D can hold the Pats to 21-24, it is a sure win for the Ravens.

The only “if” I would throw in there is the rebound. They were embarrassed and let down after yesterday, they might come out looking for blood on Sunday. (They might lay another egg too, but you never know.)

Ya, should be a good game either way.
