Before I comment on Dez, let me just say…FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!
That ending against Detroit sucked. Props to Stafford. Johnson is a beast.
If Coach Garret, Romo, and Jerry don’t have a problem with Dez, I don’t have a problem with Dez. I have heard the audio and he was wanting to go for the throat and kill this team…kinda wish they would have listened to him.

I’ll check that out. I saw last night they ran down all the records he currently has, he is impressive as hell I like his build as well better than any wide outs he’s tall and jacked. I think the size mixed with athleticism gives him the edge on everyone. That is obvious though every highlight he’s towering over 3 defenders while they seemingly climb him and he still makes the play.
Yeah Cris Carter was talking about how it is very hard to run routes as a tall guy (something having to do with the length of the limbs) but Calvin, despite being 6’4", runs routes like he is 5’10".
Calvin is only 6’4"? I thought he was taller than that

Anyway, football talk. Did anyone notice how awesome it would have been if Tate was tackled and/or fumbled the ball after acting like a DBag on the touchdown catch?
That shit drives me bonkers especially when it results in a 15-yard flag. I suspect there was some shit talking on both sides that lead to that and he got sucked in. Potential excuses aside, that was some stupid shit.
At the rate he is going, I wish the Bronco’s would bench Vickerson for a game or two for all that chippy crap. Running up to the QB and chest bumping him, which flushed any shot they had against Indy last week, then you do the exact same thing to RG III. You know they will call that. What the hell are you doing. Not to mention the punch to the knee he through last week. That’s like 3 hugely idiotic penalties he’s had the past two weeks.

They played the sound clip from the first one when it looked like he was freaking out to Romo and Jason Garret. Honestly, it looked a lot worse than it sounded. He wasn’t putting anybody down or anything. I think it’s blown out of proportion just like everything in the media. In all honesty, he is the best WR on that team and barely had any targets.

Yea, frustrating that he will be demonized for this.
Kid just wants to win.
I just want them to win, and go for the throat when they are up, instead of playing conservative

Early monday morning, I caught DAL beat writer (?) Jean-Jacques Taylor’s interview on either Dan Patrick or Cowherd’s radio show.
He pointed out that Garrett’s offensive philosophy – and even with Callahan now, how its unapparently unchanged – is to take what the defense gives em. That they have enough weapons to go elsewhere based on who the defense has schemed to take away.
Anyway, his view was that until they replace that passive, “react to the defense” type of playcalling with an active, “we’re gonna take what we want” type-mindset, he didn’t expect to see Bryant get the weekly 10+ targets like he should.

I am a Giants fan, Cowboys hater, down on JJ, neutral on Romo, Dez fantasy owner. First, that catch Dez made for a TD was RIDICULOUS -pure freakish ability. Second, I remember last year the Cowboys basically needed a hail mary score against the Giants and everybody knew Romo was going to Bryant -AND, Bryant still made the catch but landed maybe 1-2 inches out of bounds.
Dez is right -there should be no reason the Cowboys are not targeting him 10+ times every, single, game. I don’t care how well Dez is covered, because it’s not like Romo doesn’t attempt tougher passes than that whenever he’s scrambling and doesn’t want to take the sack/loss.
edit to add: plus Bryant played with that broken finger last year -imho willingness to sacrifice body parts always gives a player the right to bitch!
He doesn’t throw the ball to Dez Bryant at least 8 times a game. Bryant should be getting double digit targets every game. Bryant wouldn’t have to yell on the sidelines if Romo would pull his head out of his alcohol free bachelor party havin ass and throw him the ball more

I agree with this…“Bryant should be getting double digit targets every game.” I only hope they are keeping a leash on him until the Superbowl Run. Maybe that was the last game, and here we go.

What are you on Eli? Cuz I don’t like that fucker. Or his brother. Would you trade Eli for Romo?
Got a fantasy question and you guys seem like a good group to ask. Gotta pick 2- Gio Bernard, Ray Rice and Chris Johnson? I am feeling good about Bernard, think Johnson has a chance for a big game but he’s Johnson, and Rice has shattered my faith in him so I am stumped. Also confused between Desean Jackson and Steve Smith but that has more to do with being nervous about Foles than Jackson.

Gio, CJ2K and Steve Smith.
If you are going with your gut on Gio I’d go with Johnson and Steve Smith.
Chris Johnson got off to a slow start in the beginning of the season the last few years then stepped it up in the later half. He has a great upcoming schedule. They are going up against the Rams (horrible run D outside of the fluke SEA game). Ray Rice is going up against a pretty stout run D in CLE (although they have allowed a run TD pretty consistently) and still needs to get it going. I trust that he will but I still would roll Johnson.
Steve Smith over DJax. He’s playing ATL. I think there is a chance for a higher score by DJax but Smith will be more reliable and should do pretty well

I would not go Chris Johnson. Munchak said he is going to give Shonn Greene more carries this week which means less for CJ2K. Plus the Rams front 4 is no joke.
MattyXL wrote:
Yeah Shonn Greene, who is awful is supposed to get 15 carries…I go rice and Bernard
Yeah, Playing Cleveland scares me with Rice, but my team is named after him so there is that. Smith in the flex role over Jackson with Gordon and Green starting is looking like a good decision. Moreno on bye leaves me really unpredictable in my backfield. The fact that Moreno is my most predictable back should tell you about how well I drafted in the backfield this year though.

Bernard and Rice. Rice is just now getting fully healthy.
Johnson and Smith would be a tough one for me too. Smith only because he is healthy and gets thrown to a lot in the redzone
I swear the Dolphins just want to give me a heart attack. When Gio scored that touchdown I had to to stop watching and go to bed just so I would not explode.
